  1. Re: Musings on Random Musings My old group used the MERP critical hit and fumble tables for our AD&D games.
  2. Re: The cranky thread I lost my temper in public today. I was already cranky over yet another sleepless night, and I had to get to work earlier than usual today. That makes me even crankier. I was able to get the rest of the afternoon off. I was walking to the bus stop, when some jackass jostles me without so much as an "excuse me." I decide to return the favor. I'm about to elbow him at the curb when another jackass in a van cuts across me, almost hitting me. I scream out, "F***ERS!" At this time most of my ire was directed at the driver, but the first guy heard the rest of my tirade. I let loose the F-bomb one more time, and he crossed the street rather quickly. Then the train came. All the bystanders decided to embark away from me.

  4. Re: Music to Kill Zombies By As long as this song is playing as you're mowing down zombies, it's all good.
  5. Re: The Top 10 Rube Goldberg Machines Featured On Film This apartment has a bunch of Rube Goldberg contraptions according to the article.
  6. Re: Musings on Random Musings Maybe your players don't want to learn a new system. I personally would rather play the older systems, than 3rd Edition and won't even bother looking at 4th. Or they're just feeling nostalgic.
  7. Re: The cranky thread I really hate the usajobs website. It gives me problems every time I try to log in.
  8. Re: Martial Art For Review True, but it comes in handy at times, so I'd keep it. And perhaps add a kick maneuver as well.
  9. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Great stuff, Ssgt Baloo! I think we should link some of our work to the Funny Pics thread in the NGD. We had a lot of humorous pics here, and some members only visit the NGD.
  10. Re: Musings on Random Musings I did find these Catholic wedding vows. Maybe they can help. I also found these wedding vows, but they're not necessarily Catholic. Is that crazy director you're talking about the one who made this vow of chastity? Edit: I couldn't find the wording of the vows either, but I found Psalm 119, verse 116 recited by the Benedictine nuns after their vows are tken.
  11. Re: Martial Art For Review Not bad. I don't see any redundant maneuvers offhand.
  12. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares My bad.
  13. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares The Incredible, Edible Hulk
  14. Re: "Neat" Pictures Great scenery there! I think I may be able to use those photos.
  15. Re: Future Tech Links Air Ray and Aqua Ray, found by Susano.
  16. Re: Air Ray and Aqua Ray Cool! I need to link this to my Future Tech Links thread.
  17. Re: Power Puff Coed - Bubbles & Buttercup Your campaign sounds really cool, Legatus!
  18. Re: Power Puff Coed - Bubbles & Buttercup Very nice, but what's with the face paint? I guess they could be masks, but everyone already knows who they are. I always seem to forget Bubbles. I remember them as Blossom, Buttercup and Old Spice!
  19. Re: Character: Duncan MacLeod A bit drastic, but that can work. Of course, if my players did that too often, I'd have an enemy Immortal nearby, ready to take advantage of the situation.
  20. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Malaria HERO
  21. Re: Jokes Of course he did...
  22. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel If we're going to include Stephen King stories, how about Night Shift, which featured a basement filled with giant rats?
  23. Re: A Thread for Random Musings FYI, NASA is recruiting
  24. Re: Character: Duncan MacLeod I remember that quote, but it seems it would have little to no effect game-wise. I think Immortals would probably be rid of any diseases within a few hours.
