My mom was given a shower today by our house guests (marriage break up) and we have prepped a casserole for later in the week while having a chicken casserole for lunch.
My cousin, mum's niece, also visited from Cornwall

As I age like fine wine, I've decided to venture forth from my dark palace to stretch my bony hand to claim new lands beyond the Flaeness. Turned 50 today, and went to a strange land I have never seen before with my brother to celebrate myself, the misty kingdom of Seattle.

Very cool city. You Washington based HERO-philes are lucky folks. I hit the market yesterday after I arrived, had a lovely fish and chips at Ivar's, now I'm off to do touristy stuff.

the new T5 kickstarter had a -package of deckplans incluided that might prove useful

theres also a really sweet  book of deckplan geomorphs that is a **FREE** download, it says unofficial, but Marc Miller has approved it being distributed, it just cant be sold.
I was the one who took it to Marc for verification of permission, and can provide such if ever needed. its not my work, I just happen to talk to Marc a fair bit, usually by accident

    That was fun.

Mum is home. Had to take the physio nurses through the house to show that she could manage but she is home. They are insisting that she has another walking stick and that we get another handle in the shower but they left satisfied that she could get around.

tkdguy got a reaction from L. Marcus in I have a dream. (and MAN was it wierd!)
I was channeling Tolkien again last night. Again, this was about the elves leaving Middle-earth. Unlike my previous dream about this, where I was the only mortal in the land and was left behind (God, that was a lonely dream!), the elves were present. They were saying goodbye to their mortal friends, telling them to remember what the elves had taught them and to share that knowledge. I was going with the elves this time, and so was one of my sisters, who needed to have her feet healed from some malady. Apparently, she could only get that treatment in Valinor.

In Valinor, I was playing a board game with some friends I had made. We were laughing and having fun. At one point I realized I was dreaming -- first time that ever happened -- and decided not to wake up since I was enjoying this dream. But eventually I got restless and left the room to stretch my legs.

Then I was involved in some rescue mission over a lava pit. Some people and I were hanging on steel bars over the lava. Eventually we swung over to safety. I noticed some miniature people the size of ants on the ground. I saw orcs coming through the lava, so I scooped up the miniature people and carried them to safety.

Then I was walking down a street and ended up in a mosque, or at least the lobby area. There were people all around. I noticed a tall man in a dark suit. He took an elevator to the upper level.

The Sandbaggers (1978-1980) - Follows the understaffed and underfunded Special Operation Section (code named "the sandbaggers") of the British Government who carry out the most covert, dangerous and politically sensitive operations of the cold war. Brutally realistic portrayal of "real" spies. Definitely not James Bond, more like John Le Carre. Most of the people I've got to watch it found it too slow and boring, but those who love it, really love it. Most of the time is spent in meetings and shuffling paperwork, waiting for permission followed by quick, often fatal, attempts at carrying out a mission when half the government is more concerned with covering their own asses and preventing bad press then the lives of the people in the field. The three man field agent team, Sandbagger One, Two and Three are almost always short staffed because of team member deaths and the lack of skilled people able (and willing) to replace them. Their cold hearted boss does the best he can juggling the politics from above and the needs of the team on the ground, while also making decisions he knows will cost men their lives, all "for the greater good", which he is becoming more and more aware is not the country but rather for the politicians and big businesses in power. Also a great look at the personal and emotional cost of being in a job like that. Episode 7 of Season One has one of the most shocking endings I've seen in a tv series. Had me shaking my head in stunned disbelief that they would do that. So gritty, realistic and logical, yet so cold and brutal.

Posted as a link because of innuendo and the author used the f-bomb while thanking her subscribers at the end. Normally that would make me not post a video, but this one is pretty funny. The main part has no profanity.
