Durn straight! Just got back home from Christmas Eve dinner -- we were almost everyone, missing only my sister and her boyfriend, who are down in Skåne to celebrate with his relatives. Fourteen people! The noise level! Got a touch of tinnitus going. The food was good and plentiful enough; the ham was a bit dry, but the meatballs were homemade and succulent. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- my family are good people and I love them dearly. I just wish they were a tad less loud.

God Jul och Gott Nytt År! Time to wrap up the presents; Christmas dinner and gift exchange -- probably complete with jultomte for the very youngest family member -- is slated for tonight, at Bro A.'s little farm (that looks like a pretty little Christmas card).

I just got home from seeing The Boy And The Heron, Hayao Miyazaki's and Studio Ghibli's latest. I suspect this really will be Miyazaki's last, and what a way to bow out! It had an even deeper fairy tale feeling than Spirited Away, and it was even more beautiful than Howl's Moving Castle. Expect a bit of a mind screw. Aaaalmost five out of five marching parakeets.
