  1. Re: Fleeing the Supers-Hunters It sounds vaugely like something White Wolf would put out. This is not automatically a bad thing though. I personally think it could be a quite fun short campaign, filled with all the angst of the post Onslaught X-Men. High risk running man and revolutionary acts. Hell yeah man, that'd kick ***.
  2. Re: On Fantasy [G.R.R.M.] See, I just found it fascinating, I love the religions/cultures that are so different from us, Arya and the Kraken Chapters were very delicious reads for me.
  3. Re: Villian Relocation
  4. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. so cool, i love how your work often looks almost like it was water coloured but somewhat stronger toned. Pastels?
  5. Re: Speedster limitation actually that's a point of information. (Debate champion in College) But still, very interesting. Did it get bigger than they do in the wild?
  6. Re: Custom Mechanon Wait how come we can say Assface but we can't say ***?
  7. The vagina is metaphorical btw sorry, I must have temporarily got sand in my vagina, but yeah, the hulk would be one scary piece of work,
  8. Re: CHAR: Thor. (Marvel Style) this has really been covered to death. Enforcer is not basing his thing on OHTMU or the marvel roleplaying game or the official hero stat thing, He is basing it on two things 1. the strength he worked out for Superman and the other DC characters which is in turn based on his interperatation of their comic feats. 2. THor's feats of strength in his own comics.
  9. Re: CHAR: Thor. (Marvel Style) I aagree about the science/medicine thing. I usually see him having to turn back into Donald Blake for that sort of thing. It's the traditional personality swap multiform. Thor is one form, the weilder of the stick is the other.
  10. Hey, lets make a rambling post full of fond memories that no body else cares about. One of my favorite early characters (as in when I would spend hours lying on my trampoline thinking of and then and drawing super hero comics. All of this was in primary school,) was a guy called rubber man who was invulnerable to everything but super heated things as he wasn't vulcanised. He took what would be considered double knockback in Hero Terms and he also had on attacks and also had stretching no concious control. He was considered the team's Cypher because compared to the other characters his powers were incredibly useless. Especially since 3 of the other characters had forms of invulnerability plus their regular powers. But I just loved his cynical nature and quiet desperation to be more useful. To this end he was given a gun that shot entangles, low power lazers etc. He also became a great pilot. Eventually I killed him off in a death trap situation that misfired and just powered up all the heroes trapped in it. The other heroes noticed that Rubber man had turned into a black goo and avenged him, they ended up crashing (into the ocean) the space station that they were on, which was the teams until Atmosfear and the Black Battalion (the villains,) stole it. Years later I missed Rubber Man so much that I retconned the space station crash and death trap so that he hadn't actually died, but had just transformed into a perfectly malleable man who then got amnesia and had been wandering the middle east for years. Malleable Man became his new codename once he got his memory back. Its interesting how much love you can have for something that you created when you were a kid... It's also interesting how blind you can be to your lame concepts. "No, I swear, a super hero called Layzor would rule! Everyone would love him."
  11. Re: Influx of Slaves cheap constructs? Sasquatch like heavy labourers? Smart but combat ineffective peoples who look like grey aliens? maybe they are just better physical specimens, you know, like a basketball player vs your typical joe public.
  12. Re: On Fantasy [G.R.R.M.] I mean hope in a good book, I don't mind when the characters dye, and love when they die well.
  13. Re: On Fantasy [G.R.R.M.] hell, Arya's ending in the latest ending gives me hope. You just don't see that in fantasy. (I love her to bits ofcourse.)
  14. Re: Choose your words carefully! i think thats the wrong way around man, wasn't Jana the animal thing and Zan the various forms of water?
  15. Re: On Fantasy [G.R.R.M.] So good bt infuriaating, because its only really half a book. You get the next half of the perspective characters later on this year, but you have to wait until 2008 or later to get the next chronological volume. ARRGH! I pray this doesn't turn into Wheel of time. GRR is my main man you see.
  16. Re: [Need Help] Thors from around the world. I suggest Maui, he's featured in mopst polynesian cultures, often as a shark God,l but also as a smart and wily trickster god and culture hero figure. He slowed the sun so as to make days longer, he stole the secret of fire from a goddess (fire was her fingernails,) he could transform into things, he had a fishbone strong enough to fish up the fish that was turned into the north Island of New Zealand. Hell, he almost defeated death, but got sold out by a fantail and is going to be reincarnated when the world needs him most.
  17. Re: "You're not a REAL Hero!"
  18. Re: CHAR: Captain America
  19. Re: CHAR: Captain America well, he is low powered, but in concept, not in points.
  20. Re: Slightly Less Powerful DNPCs in Champions the difference between a competent DNPC and a high pointed follower, in my opinion, is that a DNPC will get in far more trouble than a his equivelent. You know, like Lois Lane compared to Oracel.
  21. Re: I could watch him get slapped around all day Oh, you read Dave's Long Box too? Walrus amuses me.
  22. Re: Theme Super Hero Teams and when your powers combine?
  23. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Some Asian Kung Fu Generation album, no idea what though as I can't read any of the written forms of japanese.
