HeroGM got a reaction from Steve in TSR Book Design
This is a free pdf on drivethrurpg. The author basically reversed engineered the books from the ODD (Little Brown Books), D&D B/X, BECMI and AD&D 1st. Margins, table strokes, layout, etc along with what fonts were originally used as well as alternatives. Included is the PDF of his findings as well as InDesign files setting up Master Pages for the different layouts.

For those who may not be aware, Hero Designer does come with the documentation as HDDocs.pdf in the install directory. 64 pages of information on not just using the basics of the program but how to do some basic alteration and making export templates.

I'm not sure if this is updated, but there is also a copy of the Docs in the files section on here.

Also a while back I made a quick and dirty cheatsheet (need to update it).

The upper left has page #s for the Manual on the different file types.

That's... not even close.  They aren't replacements, they're sequels and additions.  They don't reprint the Player's Hand book with a slighty different format and content, they add new stuff and content.

Hm, we need to keep Dr. Catraphes doomsday weapon somewhere safe. Let's put it on my closet until we get back to base.

Does it need to be something besides a special effect no. A question was asked and I answered. You can disagree with it but say it's flat out wrong because...

Wasn't aware we had to limit ourselves to one idea or one person's answer. I'll remember that later.

I just miss good clean line art.  Portraying the most with the least.  Line art is poetry amongst the prose of flashy colors, cell shading, washes, and filters.

Willinghan and Dee. Maybe it's age, I miss the cartoon style. Reynolds and all of the current artist are good, no doubt. Does it have to be THAT realistic though?

If all your character wants to do is change clothing, then the Instant Change power in Champions Complete page 210 will work. Extradimensinal Space (Advance Player's Guide 2 pages 27-28) is useful for stowing away stuff. Object Creation (APG2 pages 32-34) is perfect to pull out harmless objects out of nowhere. Anything else can be either a Multipower with OIAID or a Variable Power Pool of some kind.

This is a complicated special effect. It has to be put in stone before the player abuses it. Still, someone with a bottomless hole of extradimenitnal space can be an extremely powerful being.
