Reading this question to Steve made me think... Really what's going on here is that the spirit character can use the corpse to affect the physical world... an interesting idea then manifested - 1. A naked "Affects Physical World" with the limitations "IIF:Corpse of Opportunity" and "Side Effect:Must fulfill something left undone [in life] by target corpse" and "Side Effect: takes any damage done to Corpse" Perhaps for clarification we could add something like "Can only use one Corpse at a time -0" - though some may think that too cheap of a solution... it effectively turns the corpse into a Focus (which is really what it is). 2. Buy all the character's powers [that fit of course] with the above AFW advantage/limitation set. Thoughts oh gurus of the HERO realm?

It tastes horrible... Now for an animal whose sense of taste is more acute than ours, it must REALLY taste horrible... why wouldn't we make food for them that tasted better than our food?

Re: More Difficult Than Average Firmly in plot device land, but I love the idea. Seems to me that this would be easier to model using mental illusions. Sure, it may not 'actually' happen, but the target would never know the difference.

Re: Sudden impulses - the interaction between system and emotion Whereas I totally see your point - even moreso in the game Battlelords where the tables are just too 'disconnected' to make any sense rolling on them* - but I do enjoy using those tables to spice up a character background... use it as a starting point, an obstacle to begin a story from. The greatest characters (nearly) always have the greatest obstacles to overcome. *I remember rolling a character that drooled, had offensive body odour, a stutter, and was utterly irresistable to women....

I went from Acting school to shipping and recieving, to running a trucking company which I had the opportunity to buy... then I quit everything, packed my life into my jetta and drove from Windsor Ontario to Vancouver British Columbia and restarted my life. Now I'm back into acting, going to school again and having the time of my life...

He's the incarnation of St. Gabriel and can use the Presence of one so empowered. He would definately convince everyone in the WTC to evacuate [60PRE has that effect on Normals ] and then use his megascale flight and desolidification to board the planes and convince them that this is the wrong course of action. Being that St. Gabriel dictated the Koran, I would think he may have a bonus to his PRE attack [assuming these hijackers were muslim of course] Assuming he can stop all the hijackers, he would then return to the WTC and watch over it, looking very carefully for any other signs of tampering, and making sure no innocents were hurt. Not to de-rail the thread, but I firmly believe that anyone interested in what happened that day should see this.

Re: Neutron bolts Modelling reality was secondary to the build type being boring. I really like the idea of the 'saving throw' roll, but would use another power besides just 'more damage' - spice it up a little, ya know.... Try to see it from two perspectives at once, I ask the palindromedary...

Re: Neutron bolts Though I too like Robyn's suggestion, I would most likely make the secondary damage something else that might model radiation sickness a little better, like a multiple Stat drain or maybe a transform [being to being with radiation sickness - of course then you'll have to create the 'in game effects' of radiation sickness]. 'More damage' [i.e. NND RKA] linked to 'damage' [i.e. RKA] always seems boring to me, and in this case I don't think it models reality very well either.

Re: Ruling on this situation... Sounds like you, as the GM, need to switch up your tactics. If you want to neutralize his flight, hit him with an entangle him instead of grabbing him.
