  1. Re: THE ULTIMATE MENTALIST -- What Do *You* Want To See? Seconded (in spades), although I understand that Steve may view it as a "niche" setting or sub-setting.
  2. into the first line, copy and paste all that Erkenfresh put up, then type
  3. Re: CHAMPIONS UNIVERSE II - What Do You Want To See?
  4. Re: 4e Champions Question Thanks for the clarifications, all, about the Solitaire writeups. I have the 4e Ultimate Mentalist, but I never saw the Ultimate Supermage.
  5. Re: CHAMPIONS UNIVERSE II - What Do You Want To See? Well I'm certainly willing to pay $7.40 ($14,800/2,000). Seriously, though, this quote doesn't mean much without some kind of information about how much of the cover price goes to printing and how much goes to distribution, the authors ( ), artists, etc. I'd certainly be willing to pay an extra $7.40 for full color hardcover over b/w paperback. But of course the color art is more expensive too... Edited: Please note I am not trying to derail this thread. Steve & co. have made it very clear in other threads that color is not in the cards, and I'm fine with that.
  6. Re: 4e Champions Question There were "experienced" writeups in the 4th edition Champions Universe. Maybe there were some in an Adventurer's Club article as well; I never saw an issue. Without checking my books, I think the characters all got a significant power-up across the board. I remember Seeker's experienced writeup having a lot of interesting perks (contacts/favors), that were supposed to represent the result of his "solo adventures." Both Defender and Obsidian got martial arts (Defender's was "flightsuit fighting" with a lot of FMove elements; Obsidian's was not quite a "brick tricks" martial art, but had, I believe, Martial Block defined as "Toughness" and the like).
  7. Re: Need some Scandinavian Villains ! If you're dead set on using those characters from European Enemies, don't forget to check out these edits/revisions for 5th Edition: http://surbrook.devermore.net/revisedhero/herorev.html
  8. Re: Calling All Heroes! Here is the previous thread discussing this topic.

  13. Re: C25 Island of Dr. Destroyer: Official? bump
  14. Re: C25 Island of Dr. Destroyer: Official? Yeah, after I posted this, I wondered whether it should have been in the Company Questions section.
  15. Re: Snowblind? Interesting. Thanks for the information. I also like the name "Snowblind" better, but I'm nostalgic for Icicle.
  16. Both in the 25th edition reprint of Champions, and in Evil Unleashed, Icicle is replaced by "Snowblind." Same art; nearly the same powers and characteristics; different backstory. Why?
  17. Re: C25 Island of Dr. Destroyer: Official? Champions 25th Anniversary Commemorative Edition. I actually don't know whether my abbreviation is the officially sanctioned one, either.
  18. Are the new characters in the C25 version of Island of Dr. D. "official"? Or does the limited edition nature of the book somehow make them second-class citizens? And, will the "official" outcome of that scenario be detailed in Champions Universe II/Update? BTW, I got my copy of C25:
  19. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I did actually purchase K5 a while back, but haven't had the time to give it the attention it probably deserves. /thread derailment
  20. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Sounds cool. Shina Arikawa and Amber Long were very interesting characters. Don't know the other two.
  21. Re: Galactus! A starting point might be The Examiner, from Galactic Champions, with suitably changed disads (Maybe a Dependency on eating planets?). The Examiner is a 3,042 point character with a 500 point cosmic VPP. That oughta be "plot device" enough for most campaigns.
  22. Re: Error in Enemies Unleashed Well sure, we all always have that choice. I think what HN was saying was, he'd like to have the choice to just buy the new material, without having to pay a second time for a re-binding of material that he may already have. I tend to agree. But I bought UE anyway, and it is convenient to have those characters in one place (and in PDF, no less). As always, YMMV.
