  1. Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game You get the fourth costume slot and a free alteration. Maybe two free alterations, I got 2 but I may have had one saved from previous free costumes.

    Ben 10

Re: Ben 10 One of the recent shows featured an alien who had his own Omnitrix. Fortunetely he was a hero.

    Ben 10

Re: Ben 10 The Omnitrix also seems to have some sort of a mind of it's own. Several times Ben has used the Omnitrix and not turned into what he dialed.
  4. Re: Real-world rPD just went way up A simpler method would be to put the following limitation on the armor: "Doesn't stop stun damage." So the armor would stop the body and the target would take the full amount of stun. No need to do any math.
  5. Can a character hold a 1/2-Phase action and then make an attack in the same phase? In particular the villain didn't need to move so she held a 1/2-phase action and then used her other 1/2-phase to attack. If so: Can the held action be used later that phase? The villain was attacked later in the segment she had already attacked in. Can she use the held 1/2-phase to block, even though she attacked earlier in the segment? Can held 1/2-phase actions be used to attack? Let's say we have a character with a speed of 6. On segment 2 he holds a 1/2-action and attacks. On segment 3 he uses the held action to attack. On 4 he holds another 1/2-phase and attacks. On 5 he used the held action to attack. This would allow a character with a speed of 6 or better to attack on every segment.

  7. Re: What do you think... What did the tanker land on? I could have landed in a park with a lake. Not too many people around (assuming most citizens started bugging out as soon as the tanker appeared overhead) or buildings to be destroyed. Tell the players they got lucky and the oil doesn't ignite on impact. Now there is some property damage and a big mess to clean up. Tell the players that while their efforts couldn't stop the tanker from falling they slowed it and prevented the tanker from completely bursting on impact. Now they just have to contend with tons of oil gushing from the hull. Better work fast before something ignites it. And then blowtorch walks around the corner...

  9. Re: Timing of Hit Location/ Armor Application
  10. Re: Timing of Hit Location/ Armor Application Hit location modifier first then armor. That's the most realistic way. Given the same level of protection a hit to the head will be far more damaging to the victim than a hit on the hand (or arm). There just isn't much vital stuff in arms and hands, vital to contniued survival that is. Even if the head armor stops the round from penetrating it will still snap the head around. Which can cause brain damage, broken necks, or even pull the spinal cord away from the brainstem causing instant death. If I remember my learning Channel correctly that's what killed that famous race car driver a couple of years ago.
  11. Re: Poster map - Hudson City Is that Steve's house? Judging by the chandalier in the background he's doing ok! Clearly it's a con pic, but when I first looked at it....

    vpp

Re: vpp The fundamental difference is that Multipowers are set, you buy the powers in them and that's what you've got. VPPs on the other hand can be redefined as the player wishes, within the chosen limits set by the advantages and limitations. Classic examples of VPPs are Batman's utility belt, he always has the proper gadget (good thing I had my Bat-Shark Repelant), and the magic user who can cast what ever spell she can think of at the time.
  13. Re: Long John Question... I would go with stretching with some appropriate limitations.
  14. Re: Clairsentience for Surveillance Equipment For a "rabbit ear" or periscope type device you could buy it as a couple of inches of stretching limited to eyes and/or ears only.
  15. Re: VPP vs Multipower As I understand it this will be for a dedicated cyberpunk campaign. So you don't really need to worry about fitting things into a superhero paradigm. If the cyberwear options can only be used one at a time then a multipower would be the way I would go. If the Cyberwear can be used all at the same time I would go with entirely different powers. For the limited number of slots available you can always just make a GMs ruling setting the number of slots and how many each power uses up. You don't need to create some insanely complex power construct to do it. Unless you really want to....
  16. Re: Hunted: Watched The father could become a watcher, just in case jr. is working undercover for the cops.
  17. Re: Herophile Fantasy art Poser 6 has greatly improved it's lighting features. The addition of point lights alone make it worth getting. Image Based Lighting and Ambiant Occlusion can both really help improve lighting quality and gets rid if the infamous glowing mouths and nostrils.
  18. Re: Vehicle Rams My bet is because many rams stick out from the vehicle, contacting the target before the rest of the vehicle hits it. I would rule that the vehicle would still take regular damage from the impact but it would still be a distance away. Important for situations where an explosion might result (some distance will provide a little protection) or in a case where the vehicle might not be able to safely reach the object to be ramed. Like the LAPDs armored car with the long ram on the front so it can knock down doors without risking falling through a floor into the basement. For ram-plate type things, like the cattle grills on the front of locomotives or just extra-strong construction, I would just use extra DEF on the side the plate is on with possibly only using the defense vs movethrough damage. Hmmmm... Another thought. Wouldn't stretching mean that the vehicle could ram without having to make a move-through?
  19. Re: Character type specific weapons Love the ARGENT weapons! In fact I like 'em so much I made an HD prefab of them.

    GM Corner

Re: GM Corner I'm new to Digital Hero so I just ran across your adventure. It looks cool. I was wondering if the maps were available as CC2 files? I would like to print them out as a battle mat.
  21. Re: Balance Rating One of the old Champions Books (Champions 3?) or Adventurers Club issues had a very simmilar system. If you haven't already you might want to try and dig that up.
