Wasn't there a Red King in the Mutant File book for 4th edition. Would you be referring to the same individual?

I believe they limited themselves to White and Black, but I do remember sometimes they replace one color with red in some sets.

But while I did plan on using the chest authentic with this alter GENOCIDE, I decided to only let the Red King come through.

Of course this is my idea. Your mileage may vary.

This wouldn't be bad for an adventure writeup.

Well yes. But I'm more an idea guy then the actual write up guy.

I can see Red King causing havoc all by his lonesome. He finds and fights powerful mutants till first blood, trying to infect as many of them that he can (including player character mutants of course). Then cause a basic overload of a mutant's powers at a critical time. Like when he can least risk hurting someone. If the mutant doesn't have powers which can be overloaded, he will turn off powers at critical times (like flight when he is flying, or force field when being attacked). If the hero dies...ok. if he doesn't, he injected doubt into the heroes lives.

Eventually he will try to get close to Kinematik's crew and infect them.

  3. Been talking to Gauntlet (writer of the IHA book) and I got a few more brain storms.

Red King: Another castaway from Kinematik's world, he was one of the three leaders of GENOCIDE from his world (which of course are more successful then the GENOCIDE of this world). He is basically a power armor guy, except his armor is actually made up of nanomachines. The machines provide him with all sorts of weapons he would need.

His ace in the hole is his Mutant Devistation Virus. Actually more nanomachines injected into a mutant's body, it allows him to control a mutant's powers from out front under him (basically Mind Control Based In CON, NND (having altered DNA), Limited Control (power activation and control only). Basically once hit with this virus, the Red King decides if the power activates or not, and at what power and the target.

Note: He also has a Mind Scan only usable to find victims of the virus and to use the mind control power (which us also based in CON).

  4. I remember a group within the UW Gamers group trying to develope a universal RPG of there own, and one of the campaigns was SLED (short for Super Law Enforcement Division). Basically cops with super powers. I never played in ot, but I think your standard police procedure television show with a special effects budget.

Might of been inspired by Powers, but the main characters have superpowers instead of policing them.

  5. My favorite Apocalypse is the WITCH Mansterial Virus. It's a virus which mutates all men, making them unable to create sperm. (The name Mansterial comes from man and sterial)

It affects a lot of people, doesn't cause a cataclysmic event, but threatens to make life unlivable in a generation. It doesn't affect women at all, but without men's sperm, how can the next generation be created?

If the reflection is just the normal being able to see things reflected in the mirror you may not even need to buy anything.  Common items normally do not need to be defined or purchased with points. You only need to define or purchase things that will have a real impact on the game.  A key that unlocks a door does not need to be written up or paid for with points.  If you can use the mirror to project images or otherwise have an impact on combat you will need to purchase the effect, but just using a mirror to see your reflection or similar purposes does not need to be paid for.  Focusing the light to melt things on the other hand will require you to pay for it.

Well, to make a non-reflective object reflective would be a Transform effect...

You want replacement even easier than reaching into hammerspace; no half phase or END cost? What are the limitations? Availability of items? Suitability of objects? How far away are they, what's the delay then? I actually see a lot of minor 'limitations', but these have to be consistent & defined, I can't just assume some number.

Until you can list & define somewhat or fully these disadvantages I can't give you any points for that 'disadvantage'.

Focus limitations do this one specific item at a time. If you want a focus, fine, it's one specific item, not a class of items.

Sounds like you would just LOVE Mouse from Ranma 1/2. He is one character who shouldn't have a Focus limitation at all, but a Variable Special Effects advantage, a "Can Be Disarmed" limitation (-1/4 at most), and maybe a zero point "Subject To Running Out In Moments Of Funny" (-0).

Optionally it could be an excuse for a Variable Power Pool as a "Hidden Weapons And Tools (Kept Inside Robe Till Needed)" Pool.

  8. I'm reminded of two beings. The Flash villain the Mirror Master, and the Jojo stand Man In The Mirror (changed to Mirror Man outside Japan). Both have the ability to go through the Mirror Dimension at will (with Man In The Mirror able to drag people unwillingly into mirrors, idealistucly without their stands also).

But that falls under "other powers not asked for in the original post".

If your checking at the door your not letting in 20- year olds. It's well know wristbands can be quickly removed or concealed.

It's a stocking your asking for under a ski mask? Do you really think that's a practical get-up for servers & doormen?

They are like half-mime, half-bank robber? Or are they supposed to talk normally, looking like that?

That would be up to Mark, but I say it depends on the server. Some take their "kabuki stage ninja" outfits more seriously and keep quiet unless they have to talk. Others you just can't shut up.

Some staff members wear fabric ski masks under their knit three-hole ones.

Since the COVID epidemic staffers have worn black surgical masks under their stocking masks.

Some cat burglars handgag their victims before doing anything else.  Signs saying that patrons who want to experience it are to take a white plastic token with “MEOW” on it in black lettering and keep it visible.  A few servers also do it to regular patrons they like, after which they greet them in a soft voice.

The hand gag is borderline kinky, which probably means that teenagers and underage will not have the token honored out of safety and concent.

  11. One of the more intresting things about the way the Light Finger Lady gives out free drink tokens. The servers usually reverse pick pocket them to the target. There is a sign somewhere which advises that the staff will use this skill to pass on information on specials and free drink tokens (usually given to drunks to say 'you had enough, but please come back').

  12. On the walls of the Light Finger Lady are posters for various movie, television shows, and plays related with the thieving world. Also cover replicas of various books where the main character is a thief (Lupin, Fafure And The Grey Mouser, etc...).

There is also some mementos from GRAB members (and possibly from Carmen Santiago also).
