  1. Re: The Last Word Hmm. I've seen things about women in this context ("Fresh, young and hot" and "Cold, bitter, and in glasses") but this one ...
  2. Re: Complicate the Person Above Roter Baron invented several flavors of ice cream in order to recall the sweet taste of devouring his vanquished foes' remains. You're really much happier not knowing which ones.
  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Zombie attractant.
  4. Re: Help with Power: Regen as Armor Not being around my books, what's the cost for CON, limited so that all it does is boost the stunning threshold?
  5. Re: Answers & Questions Q: OK, so I killed 14 million people, tortured another 4 million into irremediable constant agony, and drove another 22 million to suicide. Now the court's found me guilty of crimes against humanity. What's the sentence? Q: Where did you hide the rarest steak? A: That's just a slap on the wrist. EDIT: Doh!!
  6. Re: The Last Word Sadly, yes.
  7. Re: The Last Word Not spawning, just spreading. I got my vasectomy 7 years ago.
  8. Re: The Last Word With cancer, you really have to get all of it, though.
  9. Re: The Last Word What? I didn't do nuthin.
  10. Re: Musings on Random Musings Well, the rent check hit the bank first, and caused the OD. Then there were a couple more checks (phone, groceries, etc.) that were returned NSF, so those racked up charges both at the bank, and at the various outfits that had them kicked back to them. I changed banks as soon as all the checks cleared, because the university's account from which I was paid was at the same bank. One cannot prove such a thing, of course, but I vehemently suspected that the bank deliberately held back the internal transfers from the U's account to the student employees deliberately to shake us down for money. Not all the student employees had this late-pay-deposit happen to them, and the ones who did (that I know of) banked at the same place as I. Oh, and I've followed who acquired that bank, and the various name changes etc. through the years, and I'll never do business with them again. I don't harbor grudges against people. But against companies, organizations, and other soulless scumsucking entities, you f***ing d**n bet I do.
  11. Re: The Last Word Bazza, this is the Last Word thread, not the Random Attacks thread.

  13. Re: The Last Word As long as it's in a different webforum, sure.
  14. Re: Musings on Random Musings Back in the days when I used actual banks, I went negative once. Turned out the university paid their student employees three days late that month (without telling us ahead of time), so there was NSF for the monthly checks I wrote on the assumption that the electronic deposit would be on time. The fees that ended up costing me remained my responsibility, because, as I was told tartly by some starched shirt behind his counter, it is my sole responsibility to ensure even electronic deposits have been made before drawing upon them. After that, I never did my banking with a real bank and had paychecks deposited electronically again. I terminated the electronic deposit and stood in line for the hard copy. While I was single, I got my paper check, hand-carried and deposited it, got my hard-copy receipt, and then wrote out my bills. Bloodsuckers weren't getting any more freebies at my expense. Once I got married, I dropped "real banks" entirely and went with my wife's credit union, which has an overdraft protection thing -- which I've never needed, BTW -- whose fees are rather less than standard bank OD fees.
  15. Re: The Last Word Hmm. Webforum karaoke isn't as painful as the regular kind, but it's not a positive experience either.
  16. Re: Answers & Questions Q: Are you sure you want me to operate on your brain tumor? I'm just a maladroit with a chainsaw, and I'm certain there's better alternatives if you don't have health insurance. A: All things considered, it wasn't as big a thrill as was advertised.
  17. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat Postings in the departed, lamented catsuit thread.
  18. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat Sexual gratification with a MOTAS of our choice. Might as well dream....
  19. Re: The Last Word Ah. Well, it approximately never fills that original purpose.
  20. Re: The Last Word Heh. If/when you have kids, that'll change. Schoolchildren are the plague rats of our era.
  21. Re: The Last Word Depends on where the starting point is.
  22. Re: The Last Word I'm tongue-challenged, which may explain some things long ago.
  23. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Crap, it doesn't make a copy of the list before stepping through it, so that deletion on the fly does unspeakable things to your logic. That's more obscure than I anticipated.
  24. Re: The Last Word TMI ... TMI ... TMI ...
  25. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Next likely time I'll be up there is beginning of October. With luck I'll remember.
