They did, a couple times actually. Tldr...

In an early adventure, they had saved a couple of kids from a pack of wolves; it turned out the kids were fey, so it earned them some Faerie Karma Points.

Several sessions later, they were on the run from the Antichrist's forces outside of Rey (modern-day Tehran), ducked into a cave to hide...and came out in Faerie. (Faerie Karma Payback.) They spent a few days in a nearby fey village recovering from their wounds, made some new friends, and underwent a few friendly challenges: an archery contest, a swords duel, a footrace, and a story-telling contest. They also volunteered to find The Lost Swords Of The Fey somewhere in the world of men and return them to their new fey friends. Oh, and they killed a couple fomorians, as you do.

One of the PCs took his new fey girlfriend as a Contact, so she has popped up a few times since then.

Several sessions later, they managed to recover the two McGuffins swords and return them to the fey - which will have consequences down the road a bit. They also accidentally started a war between the fey and the fomorians, which will also have consequences down the road!

Our last session, they needed to get from Ireland to Italy in a hurry, so they decided to take a "shortcut" through faerie. It remains to be seen how that's going to work out for them...

Heh, I can't believe I didn't catch this before, but Prince Kor, Steve's version of the Antichrist in Post-Apoc Hero, is built on 666 points.

Here's my summary of the first session. Once we got the meta-plot introduced, the bulk of the night was spent with the PCs just getting to know one another and riffing off each other with minimal GM input.

Episode 1 – Rome: You have each been summoned to Rome to meet with Pope Sylvester II. His Holiness tells you they have been hearing troubling reports about a Khazar/Turk leader named Prince Kor, who has been uniting the steppes tribes in the area east of Byzantium and north of the Caspian Sea. Some claim Kor has mystical powers, and that his armies include many foul and monstrous creatures. The Pope confides he has received information from other sources indicating that Prince Kor may be more than he seems, and it’s possible he may in fact be the Antichrist foretold in the Book of Revelations. He needs people he can trust to journey east, investigate this Prince Kor, and report back if these fears are well founded or not.

Your journey is to be completely unofficial, but the Pope will support you with whatever resources you need. He introduces you to a trusted confidant, a merchant named Giordano Pironti, who will take you East to Constantinople, and can deliver messages back to Rome. If you need assistance or advice, His Holiness also says you can contact Arnulf, the Archbishop of Milan who is currently in Constantinople trying to arrange a bride for Emperor Otto III.

Afterwards, Tyri and Aeddan bond over drinks in a tavern, while Geralt holds vigil overnight asking God to bless your journey. Father Edmundo has some affairs to put in order before you leave. And Abida is invited to dinner at the estate of Gregory I, Count of Tusculum, who claims to be a friend of the Pope and is eager to support your mission if you’ll only tell him what it is…. Abida tells him little of substance, but he gives you some names of people you can contact in Constantinople if you need assistance.

The next day, you set sail on Pironti’s ship. A favorable wind takes you to the Isle of Rhodes in 10 days, where you put in for the night.

My head canon is that she had a compulsion laid on her by the device from her pod to go into the desert and plant her Fortress of Rockitude.

Are there any other former City of Heroes players here who thought that place looked a LOT like a Circle of Thorns lair?

Some good ones from last night's FH game:

Welshman: “Songs will be sung of our deeds!”
    Priest: “Mostly dirty limericks, but...”
Alchemist: "There once was a Priest from Rome..."

Pilgrim: “What if [bad thing] happens?”
Priest: “God isn’t enough of a dick to do that to us.”
Pilgrim: “You haven’t ever actually read the bible, have you?”

Traveling through Faerie, the Irish warrior decides to make a small sacrifice to the land asking for safe passage, so he spills a little wine on the ground symbolically.
GM: “Wait, the Irishman just spilled alcohol?”
Italian Priest: “I thought we talked about the dangers of alcohol abuse.”
Irishman: [shrugs] “It’s just wine, doesn’t count.”
Italian Priest: “Whoa whoa WHOA! You did not just say that!”

The Heroes encounter Aletcien, a Fey huntress they met once before, and with whom the Welshman had a tryst. But since their last meeting, the Welshman has married another woman. (Background: in my world, the Fey have something resembling marriage, but they don’t really get the concept of monogamy.)
GM: (to the Welshamn) “Aletcien runs over and leaps into your arms with a squee.”
Welshman: [sigh] “It’s truly wonderful to see you again.”
[Aletcien tries to drag him off into the woods for a quickie, but he resists...reluctantly...]
Welshman: But I must tell you…I’ve gotten married.”
Aletcien: “That’s wonderful! I’m so happy for you both! I can’t wait to meet her!”
    Welshman: [relieved] “That’s great…”
Aletcien: “As long as she doesn’t mind sharing, amirite?”
[Aletcien resumes trying to drag him off into the woods]
Welshman:  [groaning] “No, no… you don’t understand…you see…my religion says I can only be with one woman.”
Aletcien: [thinks for a minute] “At a time?”
Welshman: [OOC] “Yeah, that’s it. I go with her. I’m not even going to try and make that EGO Roll.”

    Later…
They  come back out of the woods picking leaves out of their hair. The Welshman walks over to the Priest.
Welshman: “Indulgences are still a thing, right?”
    Priest: “Last I checked.”
Welshman: [drops a bag of gold] “Bless me Father for I have sinned.” [walks away]

I disagree, I think the audience is avoiding JL due to previous movies.  Audience score is sometimes a better thing to look at on Rottentomatoes and JL has an audience score comparable with WW and Thor: Ragnarok, whereas Man of Steel, B vs S and Suicide Squad all received significantly lower audience scores.

Again, I thought Man of Steel, B vs S and Suicide Squad were all 'average' movies, at best - they had some great moments and that's all.  I really enjoyed WW and JL.

PS:  With JL, you might be seeing a number that closely approximates how much money you're going to be guaranteed from diehard, opening weekend superhero movie fans.

...I honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not? You just described the top five things that ruin a movie for me. Those aren't exactly minor technical points; they're the minimum qualifications for Not Shitty.

As for reviews, I only listen to the handful of reviewers whose opinions I trust. It's harder now that Roger Ebert has left us - whether or not *he* liked a movie, I could almost always tell if *I* was going to like it from his reviews.

I see quick cuts as often fatiguing (especially if used in a 3D movie*), and sometimes as a tell that the fight choreographer didn't know what he or she was doing. It's why the Daredevil hallway fight is so amazing to me.

I'm also not a fan of shaky cam. At best it's a gimmick, at worst, it's just unwatchable.

*It takes a bit of time for a viewer to adapt to see a scene in 3D when scenes change, and quick cuts mean that the viewer never quite adapts to it. It's why most of the scenes in Avatar are long, without a lot of cuts, and with careful use of pans.

I think it's all handled in a very complex manner using Handwavium and Dontthinkaboutite.

It seems to me that sections of the floor would have to move / incline / rotate / etc. to accommodate people's movement.  But really, I suspect it's one of those things you're expected not to look at too closely or think about too hard.

That episode also served to explain the financial/story-telling necessity that all intelligent life looked the same except for their foreheads, I suppose.

Hopefully they'll do Tolkien proud with episodes full of tediously descriptive walks through the forest and epic tales of watching leaves change color with incredibly brief interludes full of action and conversation.

Is my memory playing tricks  on me, or did Wonder Woman have a bunch of early reviews before it came out.  Justice League comes out Friday and there still hasn't been a single early review.  That doesn't seem like a good sign,

I want this movie to be good.  Heck, I want it to be awesome, but I am not going to go see it unless it has a Rotten Tomato score of at least 70%.  I have Friday off and I could certainly take in a movie, but I have this uneasy feeling that I will spending Friday binge watching The Punisher on  Netflix instead.  Hope I'm wrong  about that.
