  4. Re: Hero A Day...Sorta... Thought you might be interested. I just posted the book export template. You can find it here: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16061E84, I hope that you don't mind that I used The Solution export as an example of the output.
  5. Re: Hero A Day...Sorta... Here is a little something that I've been working on. It is a new Export Template that can create a book for you. I did a little post editing (the first page and moving of pictures) that I'm still trying to get added to the template. Here is the result. What do you think?
  6. Re: Hero A Day...Sorta... A few quick comments/questions <retentiveness> abbatoir is spelled with only 1 "b". </retentiveness> <praise> Excellent use of the names! </praise> A while ago you posted a document that had the various character write-ups organized in groups. Is that still relevant, and if not could you posted a new revised version? You shall be rewarded...
  7. Re: Superhero Images Nexus, awesome pictures! Do you have write-ups for these?
  8. Re: Supervillain Images Here's the team with half-masks allowing their hair to flow free. What do you think? Is this a better look for the team?
  9. Re: Superhero Images Oops...

  11. Re: Got Export Templates? Check out the Hero Sphere forum on these boards for some of what Starwolf is talking about.
  12. Re: Got Export Templates? Indeed. You may have also noticed that I have also created, or I'm in the process of creating RTF exports of KillerShrikes combat templates for those that want it in Word instead, and I recently updated my Package Template so that it matches the published versions as well. I would also like to mention that I'm open to requests, and comments as well for either new templates or changes to the ones that exist.
  13. Re: Got Export Templates? You will probably notice that it closely matches the published material which is what I was shooting for when I created the template. The nice thing about HD is that it is much more accurate and a whole lot faster than trying to do stuff by hand, and then to be able to kick out an output that is easy to modify if you want, and easy on the eyes makes HD the best chargen available, IMHO. The most frustration that people experience comes from not reading the manual so I would recommend doing that first.
  14. Re: Got Export Templates? Technically you can look at the Export Template, but it is all code that you would have to "visualize" what it produces. I write them in RTF code, so it is pretty clean and easy to modify. Here is a sample of completely unedited output from HD. I saved it as a PDF after exporting to Word. This will let you see what the output would look like.
  15. Re: Got Export Templates? My templates Export your character in RTF format which Word opens by default with a normal install. From Hero Designer you do the following: 1) Select File--> Set Export Template... 2) Navigate to and select the Export Template that you want to use. Mine start with RTF, and then you read the description. I identify mine with my name at the end (Robert Miller) 3) Then click open 4) Select File again, and choose either Preview Character... or Export To File... 5) Preview Character will open Word, or your editor of choice, and show you the character. Export To File will save your character to a permanent file. Hope that helps. You may want to read the Documentation that comes with Hero Designer to learn more bells and whistles that it provides, and visit the Hero Designer forum to ask questions that the manual doesn't clarify for you.
  16. Re: Got Export Templates? You can find the first batch of templates on the Free Stuff page. They are all in a single zip file that starts with the letters RPM.
  17. Re: Supervillain Images Thanks Lem! That means a lot coming from you. I wasn't sure about the full head mask or half mask showing their hair. I might try that one also, and see what you all think.
  18. Re: Got Export Templates? Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad that so many people are enjoying my templates, and that I could help out the Hero Community at large.
  19. Re: Supervillain Images Ok, here is a supervillain group that I'm working on. You old timers will probably recognize the portraits. There have been a couple groups in various comic series that have a similar genre, but I don't think any that match this particular group. I'm still not sure about the name of the group. I'm thinking The Aces, or something similar. Quick run down: Spade - Energy Protector Heart - ESPer (Emotion manipulation) Diamond - Brick Club - Martial Artist
  20. Do you need to do Package Deal Exports from HD? Than you'll want to check this out.
  21. I thought some of you might be interested in this if you want Package Deal Exports from HD.
  22. I thought some of you might be interested in this.
  23. They are all in a single zip on the Free Stuff page. I'll be periodically updating the zip to make it easier for downloading. It has an RPM in front of the name.
