  1. Re: Superhero Images Thanks! The artwork is Magmarocks, I'm just doing the coloring. Mags has all the talent so I didn't want to mess up the hand by trying to "fix it". I think it works fine though. At least you could tell it was a hand.
  2. Re: Supervillain Images ogle?
  3. Re: Superhero Images Alrighty then. I believe that I'm finished. I softened up the highlights and shadows to let them blend a bit better. I also added a little more color to the hair and lips to break up the off-white color some. I also added in the buckles, and cleaned up the edges. So what do you think?
  4. Re: Supervillain Images Thanks! That was something that I was shooting for. I wanted a villain group that had some flavor and were a little atypical, but worked well together. One of these days I'll get their write-ups posted for you all to ste... er... borrow.
  5. Re: Superhero Images Yea, I'm actually pulling the color scheme from one of the links that were posted. I'll make sure to add in the buckles. Well, I suppose I can stick with that background then.
  6. Re: Superhero Images Ok, this is a preliminary coloring just to make sure that I'm on the right track. Mags, let me know what you think. Does anything need to be changed? I want to put a different background in, but I'll use the gradiant for now.
  7. Re: Superhero Images Will do. I'll take a stab at it later today hopefully. I'll post a preliminary as soon as I can.
  8. Re: Storn Art from idea to full picture And the speed is remarkable! That was very cool now if we can save Storn's talent in a can and market it...
  9. Re: Ambrethel Map in Free Stuff You know, I do my maps in CC2, and have all the add-ons, and have some free time if you need someone. I also belong to the CC2 list. I also have PhotoShop and other post processing applications. That is unless you already have someone earmarked for the task.
  10. Re: Ambrethel Map in Free Stuff You mention "Based on Steve's CC2 originals". Now that would be the best present ever to have those CC2 maps for modifying as the game progresses and political borders shift or terrain features are changed. Please? Pretty please With sugar on top? Steve?
  11. Re: Hero A Day...Sorta... Not at all. I think it is using the resources you have, and besides having a picture is better than not having a picture
  12. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange D'uh... I just followed his webpage link... Here is the page that has his mapping tiles: http://silentempire.com/modern.php Enjoy!
  13. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange
  14. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange Does he still post on the boards? Should I post the rest of the tiles, or does someone have the link to his website?
  15. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange Does anyone know who made the series of tiles that this goes to? I have the rest of them, but I don't know who to give credit to, or where I downloaded them from.
  16. Re: Superhero Images Thanks again. Do you have any other pictures you would like me to try coloring?
  17. Re: Superhero Images Ok here is attempt no. 2. I blurred the background in stages to give some feeling of depth. (Not real pleased, but it will do). I added a shadow to anchor Thorn into the picture a little more. I saved this one as a jpg instead of png, so the quality will drop a bit, but I'm hoping the lower quality may actually help "blend" everything together a little more.
  18. Re: Superhero Images Well thanks! You are correct about the blending both that it is too well, and intentional. The funny thing is, on my monitor Thorn is distinct from the woods enough to notice his details so I think it may be a monitor issue that is causing some of the "over-blending". I did the background with a high quality picture of some woods, and then Photoshopped them using a couple of the filters, primarily the cut-out filter. I'm going to go back and use the depth filters, and see if I can't give Thorn a little more "pop" so that he doesn't blend in so well, I'll post it when I finish. Sure, I like the challenge of coloring characters. I'm not very artistic though so sometimes my coloring doesn't really do the drawing justice. I also like coloring because it helps me learn more about Photoshop which I have to pseudo-support at work, as our marketing department uses it, but they are neo-phytes as well. If you ever have a drawing that you would like to have colored with specific ideas in mind, let me know, and I'll see what I can do. I've been learning some of the more advanced tools lately so I would like to see if I can do something creative with them. Thanks for all the great artwork Mags! Man, I wish I could draw...
  19. Re: Superhero Images Well, I had a little time to kill today, and was wondering if I could give Thorn a "wood-like" appearance. This is very rough so don't be too critical.
  20. Re: Superhero Images I was referring to the "Longest Running Thread EVER" in the Non-Gaming Discussion forum. This is one of the pictures that was posted there. http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=319476&highlight=cosplay+girls#post319476 Note the costume on the left.
  21. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I have to tell you, I was smiling the whole time I was reading that article. I was a computer teacher for about 7 years, and used to have to teach TCP/IP as one of the classes, and was continually amazed at how so many adults didn't understand our numbering system and how it worked. I found that I had to re-teach them how to count. I used a method very similar to the one used in the article. Thank you very much for posting that link!
  22. Re: Superhero Images I thought that looked familiar... From the LRTE, in the NGD forum...
