Obsession is a dangerous thing and people can take Love Never Dies to an extraordinary degree.
So that when Rudolf Geinser's wife died he could not accept it. And so saved her head  He put in an experimental preservative liquid and encased it in a robotic body. It's brain functions power the robot's data synapses. However people have tried to destroy it as an abomination. This has lead to the creation being termed X-Woman by a number of blogs, television programmes and websites.
The robot is immune to shutdown commands, most forms of disintegration, electrical and acid damage. It is also immune to heat and cold damage.
It can take an awful amount of punishment but can shutdown due to excessive stun damage. Mind powers have little or no effect.
The hands can tear through stone and metal if need be but can be delicate enough to type on a computer.
Rudolf has had to turn to the underworld to survive but he keeps his 'wife' close.

T.A.S.K. (Technically Augmented Super Killer) is the latest in the long line of military programs for the purpose in creating super soldiers. This particular project involved the blending of cutting edge cybernetics and nanotechnology. Amy Matthews was a former US army paratrooper who was facing a court martial for abandoning her post and going AWOL during a surprise attack on the base she was stationed in Guam by mercenaries led by Micronesia's most dangerous supervillain (the only one actually) Doctor Atoll. She had agreed to participate in the experiment in return for a full pardon.

Of course the army didn't mention that roughly 49% of her body would be totally replaced by cybernetic implants. Nor did they told her about the previous eighteen test subjects... Err... volunteers who died horribly when their bodies rejected said implants...

The AI in the nanites reacted badly to some of the components as predicted by the scientists. However instead of killing her, Amy's DNA somehow bonded with the nanites, giving her super strength and shapeshifting abilities.

Changing the last word of the project's acronym to Knight in a attempt to redeem herself, T.A.S.K. escaped from the laboratory and pursuing a life of doing good deeds...with the entire US Army on her tail.

The Wild Wild West TV series is being repeated on the CBS Action channel in the UK. Now I never saw this at all growing up (3 TV channels until the start of the 1980s then a fourth and fifth followed by the satellite ones), so I had no reference at all for it until the Will Smith and Kevin Kline disaster of a film.

The TV series on the other hand is really quite a joy and perfect for Pulp. Granted there are no aircraft but you have virtually everything else and it strikes me as a goldmine for taking ideas. Dr Loveless is a great recurring villain and his escapes fit the mood.
One of the episodes just aired had a prototype tank, forty years before they were first employed.
There are also a variety of death traps for the heroes to evade which are just as relevant to the 1870s steampunk as they can be to the 20s and 30s.
The writers also made certain that a seeming disability such as blindness did not deter people from being effective villains.

So I would encourage people to look it up and pillage it for ideas.

Bryce Bonny was working in his petting zoo, tending to the rabbit pen when a truck transporting toxic waste crashed into a nearby tree and irradiated the pen. The bunnies in their panic bit Bonny infecting him. So whenever he becomes angry or stressed, he transforms into The Incomparable Lepus!

Been awhile since I posted anything here. Got some new stuff to share. A couple of composite images from a bunch of commissions.

I found a group of villains on the public domain wiki called the Black Ace Gang. They fought Captain Marvel Jr. Non-powered, kind of cheesy but violent bank robbers. As a fan of the Royal Flush Gang, I saw potential in the concept. So, thanks to the magic of Joe Singleton, here is a modern update of this group. From left to right is Black Ace, Queen of Hearts, Jack of Diamonds and the King of Clubs

A long time ago, I was a player in a Champions campaign run by my friend Curt Fernlund. He was an artist, and drew all our characters and the villains we faced. Once he was done with villains, he would pass them onto me. I saved them, and with his permission, have been adapting/updating them. This is Luna, an organization we faced. They were led by Khonshu, the Egyptian god. I took him out, and removed some members. In their place, I added 3 Lunar/Moon gods. From left to right is Men (Lunar god of Anatolia), Artume (Etruscan night goddess, similar to Artemis), Vampyre (a clone of my hero Necromancer), Night Stalker (originally called Moon Knight), Cricket & Crater (who will likely be changed to Eclipse or something else), the 4 super agents of the group, Kaskuh (Moon God of the Hittites) and the standard Luna agent. I'll probably be adding more to the organization when I can afford to send more work Joe's way.

Master Orb - A mercenary dressed as a monk and speaks with vague Zen Buddhism and Confucius metaphors. In truth he is Henry Cobb, a former professional roofer turned goon for hire. While he knows the basics in martial arts, his real power comes from his necklace of golden orbs containing such high tech devices such as flash bang grenades, sleeping gas and concussion bombs among other things.
