    Inauspicious, to put it mildly.

I would not put it that far. The launch was clean. The Hot staging worked. The problem with the booster is the stresses of the flip and burn caused the booster to fail, and the Loss of Telemetry, either through ground stations, or Starlink made the termination system remove ship 25 from existence, lest it go uncontrolled and land on a city in Africa or something.  If you remember the Falcon development they lost a number of them before they were able to get controlled landings and were able to reuse the part.  THis is a much more complex rocket than the Falcon, so I am expecting five failed launches until they can get a a good, reuseable rocket.

  2. Agreed.  Legend of the Galactic Heroes (First version), and Lensman, (books)  the preferred melee weapons were single handed axes. Spear, the preferred weapon of infantry in the open would be a liability in tight hallways inside spacegraft, and without gravity, you don't have the base of leverage to take advantage of a spear.  If you aren't expecting armored space suits, rock hammers would be a good melee weapo, with the spiked end making nice holes in Vacc suits. (Took Geology in College so we all got Rock hammers and collection bags.)

  3.  In Bob Simpson's campaign, it was [Magic user, I am blanking on her name], Who would take over the minds of Player Characters, and make them willing minions.  (What Bob really did was Player characters of Players that had left the game could end up as minions, and that was enough to scare us.  We attracted her attention and she abducted one of our team mates (Player went to Michigan for a month on a family matter), We had to rescue them. THis was one of those situation where we used a lot of teamwork just to escape, and Thunderbird used contacts to get weapons that were not available to the public in any form.  IT was a Brutal, scary fight, but we got out team mate back before his brain alteration.

  4. Felix 9 would be in an advantageous vantage point with a very high powered sniper rifle, concealed in a fake HVAC housing, following the activities through the optics waiting for the mask to fall.

Thunderbird, and the rest of his team would be observing, He would probably be at a fairly high altitude, with his team mates on the ground, in various locations, reporting in. Again, waiting for the subjects to do something criminal.  If nothing criminal is done, they will observe them leaving, and then stand down, change into civilian clothes, meet in the back room of a Denny's, and discuss what was observed.

Sgt. S.M.A.S.H.   {robably watching the parade on Television. He himself is unfamiliar with C.L.O.W.N.

  5. One of the best animated Superhero fights I have seen was in the second episode of the second season of Invincible.  It was a fight between Atom Eve, and her "Siblings", on a freeway. both side were being smart, and operating within their limitations. A bit gruesome for some, and definitely not Comics Code Approved, it was just a nice bit of choreography.

Also watched a few Episodes of Generation V, and while I like it better than The Boys, it can get a bit intense.  At least the plot doesn't feel as bitter as The Boys, and the characters aren't as actively unlikeable. Watch as college students solve the mystery of the secret hospital under the campus buildings, and what the Dean is working on.

Both are available on Amazon Prime.
