  1. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Believe - Phenomena (Reading the "Power Metal" thread i got all nostalgic)
  2. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER See, now there's someone with impeccible taste.
  3. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread It's a good look for you.
  4. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I walked right past the basket of Chocolate chip muffins and white chocolate chip cookies. Not falling for any diet traps right now!
  5. Re: WWYYCD: The Rally Anthem would show up just to be certain the peace is kept. She may not even make herself visible untill a problem occurs. And she'd start off with costume concealed, since she has no particular "I.D." disad. Uncle Slam would decline, leaving it to the local authorities. His appearance there would be spun by both sides to no good effect, and he will not be a lightning rod for such discussions.

  7. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? I agree. There was some real darkness on Throwing Copper. The new CD has no edge, it's just a stack of mostly accoustic tracks. They've always had some religious aspects to their songs but now It's like they morphed into a Christian rock outfit, a la Jars of Clay.
  8. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Songs from Black Mountain by Live. New CD, but nothing from them will ever be as good and edgey as Throwing Copper.
  9. Re: Steve's Chat Tonight (Thursday, June 22) I'm warning you now, if you test those Badgers I will shoot them down with my untested anti-badger defense system.
  10. Re: Superman Returns Score Excellent. I remember but don't own the original S/T. I may just have to check this out.
  11. Re: Superman Returns Score I had heard something about them using some of the original John Williams score mixed in with the new pieces. Have they, as far as you can tell? (I can't get that site at work)
  12. Re: New Supers Miniature Line Got plenty of superfigs up through a year ago, when my local hobby store stopped carrying them for some reason. Never seen these others before. Not bad; A little simplistic, which is kind of how I prefer them; That way I can add my own touches.
  13. Re: Anatomy of a diorama You're quite the artist there. I can't seem to get my project off the ground (Can't find all the pieces I want for it).
  14. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? One Headlight - The Wallflowers
  15. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Rock-aria! - ELO
  16. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Damocracy on "Supergroup" on VH1. Someone needs to kick Sebastian Bach's @$$. But then the show would be less entertaining if he weren't so neurotic.
  17. Re: Steve's Chat Tonight (Thursday, June 15) As usual, I had the time, but I forgot.
  18. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? There's no good hard rock station in town so I pretty much pick up my bits of news from wherever I happen to be surfing.

  20. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Karate - Tenacious D
  21. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Knights Of Cydonia - Muse Hard to describe it. It sounds like somebody from the 70's, but I'll be deamned if I can pinpoint exactly who (I mean, I can year YES and Rainbow, but that's not it...)
  22. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? It's just finally making the rounds to them. Used to be folks would just remake one song. Then about 10 years ago there were a few folks who decided to do full albums of covers. Now it's just finally making its way to the hard rock community to do the same thing. From bands you'll hear that they wanted to "pay tribute to the people who influenced them" or "show people what they listen to", and except for the occasional issue with licensing the songs for use, record companies like them because covers take less studio time to create. I wasn't aware of the Ozzy cover album. Interesting list of songs. A few I'm not familiar with, and that's rare on a cover album.
  23. Re: Steve's Chat Tonight (Thursday, June 15) Fine. More for the rest of us.
