  1. Re: Hooligan_X and Proditor Present: "The Third Semi-Annual Great HERO Figure Contest!" I may give it a whack. But with the talent around here, it's like performing a castle seige with a slingshot.
  2. Re: WWYCD: Snakes on the Plane! Yeh, I got no hero for this. Uncle Slam and Anthem would both just start rounding 'em up. They're both pretty resistant to that tiny little KA to get the poison through. And Audra Blue would never be on a plane.

    Clix Suggestion

Re: Clix Suggestion Tried 8 arms and the extra two were all ways too many. It looked really cluttered. Not sure how happy the player will be to be demoted two arms. Still gets the point across. She looks pretty good, but frankly, she's not evil enough to be the character in question Made using Arclight (because she's tall and therefore had more room for the arms), 2 arms from Cheetah, 1 arm from the Star-Spangled Kid, 1 arm from Karma, a hand clenching a bow from Hawkeye, and the oversized quiver from Arsenal.

  8. Re: The things you pick up from Cartoon Network I find plenty of stuff on adult swim funny. I don't turn in to that for the "great animation". I'm there for a laugh.
  9. Re: Total lack of ideas, clock is ticking down Go with the crippled mentalist. Comparison's be damned. The trick is to put your own stamp on it. Instead of being born with his mental powers, they're the product of going to Tibetan monks and trying to master his mind to compensate for his physical frailty. No Wheelchair: He levitates himself around, either in the lotus position or in the vertical "ghost" position. No Mind reading: Though perhaps he imposes emotions on his enemies (Empathic Mind Control). Just take something familiar and twist it.
  10. Re: Which Villain Do You Want to Play? The ones I'd want to play are all ones I've made for my campaign. Though I wouldn't mind playing Ogre. I'd play him as the villain who gets no respect; The guy everyone recognizes and that all the heroes want their pictures taken with because he's a "legend", but he hates that because he feels he gets no villainous respect. He'd be a henchman, scheming for a way to be feared again. Playing someone like Dr. D. is too easy

    Clix Suggestion

Re: Clix Suggestion Thanks for the info. I'm not purposely limiting myself to clix; I just find them easier to work with. If there's soemthing else that looks closer I'll certainly go for it. I've pretty much guessed I"m going to have to add arms at some point. Whether it's a couple or 6.
  12. Re: The things you pick up from Cartoon Network I didn't like Billy & Mandy at first but it got me with the episode where Cthulhu showed up, so I've been watching since But Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is great fun! Bloo and Eduardo are great! Not too much superheroic in that one, but it's highly entertaining.

    Clix Suggestion

I'm assembling miniatures for the current game we're playing. One character is playing an 8-armed female archer. So I'm looking for a suggestion for a HeroClix or other miniature to modify and I thought I'd come to you guys, since many of you have probably seen every clix EVAR! Basically, think of the Goddess Kali, with many arms, and probably very litlte modesty. She's an archer, as mentioned, but if I find it impossible to do the bows they may end up slung or on the ground before her. Thanks for any suggesttions.

  15. Re: WWYCD: The Darkest Hour I think Uncle Slam would be fairly resistant to this. Anthem, however, would find herself unable to take any action that even remotely might injure a normal person. She starts pulling her punches and that makes her easy to defeat. She becomes overly protective of those people in her life, coming across almost stalker-like in her devotion. These two things would come to cross purposes when someone "seems" to be endangering a friend, then she'd enrage (Damaging a car that came too close in a cross-walk, picking a fight with a normal who carelessly elbowed her friend, etc.) Audra Blue struggles to control her voyeuristic impulses. She's a shut-in at the base, and has disabled cameras in the private rooms, but I could see her becoming obsessed enough to reconnect them and watching the every day lives of the heroes. She'd pick out at least one and let yer repressed sexual urges come out, to their benefit (And probably her own, seeing as how she could use a good ____). She'd be increasingly paranoid about the network, actually becoming fearful that she might be directly physically attacked if someone managed to hack throught he defenses, so she'd stay offline, which in itself causes her certain physical and psychological symptoms (Mostly exhaustion, since that's how she sleeps). Anthem would be outrageously apologetic afterwords, and too embarassed to say much beyond that. Audra Blue would try to cover up the fact that she had been watching, by disabling those cameras again as fast as possible. She'd try and avoid the team member(s) she had sex with. But ultimately there would be one of those embarrassed and awkward discussions as they bump into one another. She'd rather it all remain unspoken. If there were reason beyond normal to be embarassed (Such as if she'd had sex with the old professor, the rodeo clown, or the only other girl in the base), she might actually try to point out that it was a one time thing.

  17. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... "What is this? Survivor: Rome?" (Initiating numerous jokes evening long about voting people off of the team or dragon-blood houses off of the blessed isle) ------ Slave revolt Leader: "Freeeeeeeeeeeeeedom!" Honshu (Master of Lightning): "Thank you kindly for raising your lightning rod." [Zap] ----- GM: "Would anyone like to 'stunt' to get more dice on their entrance?" Players 1-5: [Various "Nope" and "Can't think of anything".] Player 6: "I have apperance 5. Isn't looking good enough?" Player 5: "Well maybe if you wardrobe malfunction." --------

  20. Re: WWYCD: The True Champion has Arrived! Anthem has no chance of defeating him. Even her near invulnerability would be breeched on somebody with legendary strength. Uncle Slam is as close as my game universe gets to Superman, and I'll tell you up front, he's not near superman level. (I just think that it's boring to have someone that impossible to beat). He is however not the most powerful being in the game world.... Paragon is a retired hero with a suit of armor that puts him head and shoulders above the toughest characters. He retired because the armor was killing him slowly and he wanted to live long enough to raise his daughter. Without actual stats on the champion it's hard to say, but I think I'd give him a pretty good chance.
