  1. Re: DNAgents for Champions in DIfferent Worlds magazine #34? Anyone have that? Wow. Now I need to go look for all my V&V stuff. I remember adapting "Force" for Champions and playing through "Crisis at Crusader Citadel" and "Death Duel with the Destroyers" in V&V. DDwtD was, of course, the source for all the villains that appeared in Bill Wilingham's "Elementals" comic series.
  2. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Sarcasm > Force Lightning.
  3. Re: Human bird wings Current evidence is that Quetzalcoatlus did not fly, but climbed and glided.
  4. Re: Super Transportation Reality show. :-/ Still. I may check it out.
  5. Re: What is the building in which a mason works called? Psh. Clearly it's a Mason Jar. That is, if it is a very tiny Mason.
  6. Re: "Neat" Pictures Easter two-fer 1) This is how much I love my gaming group (and want to fatten them up for later consumption). 2) I saw this giant cookie at the store and I need to know what this monster is supposed to be?!?! If it's a chick coming out of an egg then it's some Lovecraftian chick made my a 6 year old!
  7. Re: Make Your Own Motivational Poster It certainly can be, but (like Canadian politeness) it goes a little deeper. A great deal of it is tied to the Southern "Culture of Honor" and the resulting likelihood of a duel or other violence. In a society where, for centuries, a slight could result in death, people develop a politeness that (while possibly only a veneer) is a survival trait. Heinlein said it best: "An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life." It's a pattern of behavior that formed a culture. I am always polite, because good manners are important, but there is never any gray area about whether I dislike someone. I'm just not rude about it.
  8. Re: Can you post character builds on these forums? I'm certainly not telling her!
  9. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread He's 6 years old and was flailing about mightily and his dad said: "If you hit Papaw's tv, Darth Vader is going to be the least of your worries." Papaw would be me.

  12. Re: DNAgents for Champions in DIfferent Worlds magazine #34? Anyone have that? I'm sure I wasn't. I haven't looked at in 20 years, but I recall disagreeing -- like ya do when you're 17. I'll dig it out and look at it and give you an update.
  13. Re: DNAgents for Champions in DIfferent Worlds magazine #34? Anyone have that? I have Different Worlds #23 down in my library, because in 1982 I clearly wanted stats for the X-Men for Champions.
  14. Re: DNAgents for Champions in DIfferent Worlds magazine #34? Anyone have that? Two dollah and seventy-five cent.
  15. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Had a great day with my Mom, my eldest child, her husband, my grandson, and my girlfriend. Fixed some fat NY Strips (with my secret marinade), three cheese linguine, tomato-susumber-avacado salad with my home-made raspberry/garlic vinagrette. Then I watched my son-in-law, grandson, and girlfriend play Mario brothers .

  17. Re: A Thread for Random Videos It's still alive in a galaxy far far away.
  18. Re: A Thread for Random Videos I love that owl. I showed this to my (grown) daughter and she demanded that we get one
  19. Re: "If geography is prose, maps are iconography" -- Lennart Meri I already have...
  20. Re: "If geography is prose, maps are iconography" -- Lennart Meri Thanks Steve, like most gamers I am nuts for maps, so I'll be updating this list as I find things. Particularly pulp era maps.
  21. Re: Some Strange Inventions It'd a shame if someone got nazi tire tracks on their face
  22. Re: Can you post character builds on these forums? What I always recommend is DoPDF. It creates a phantom printer on your PC and when you print to it, it creates a pdf file.
  23. Re: Can you post character builds on these forums? In Soviet Russia, source opens you!
  24. Re: Make Your Own Motivational Poster All this Daikaiju inspired me. I have a soft spot for Tokusatsu. So I made you this.
