  1. Re: Lifeform 13013 (Bob) I've been running Champions since 1992, but yes. 14 character write-ups was a bit much for one day. I was fried when I went to bed. My dreams were full of weird power building. In the dream, I didn't have powers, but I would describe how my powers were built to people. Strange... I think, in the future I'll write up just 3-5 characters per day. Grimble
  2. Re: Chariot of the God of Taxi drivers Actually, Yes and no. My PCs have just hired the Blind God of Taxi Drivers to be on their superteam's Beta Team. I want to actually write up the cab so I don't have to keep fudging it. Grimble
  3. Hey Herophiles! I am hoping for some more help. I need a cool ride for the Blind God of Taxi Drivers. With his divine cab he can take people to where ever they need to go. Where ever. ANYWHERE! And, I do mean anywhere. How would you write this up? VPP? Movement EC? Multipower? Let me know, please. Grimble
  4. Re: Lifeform 13013 (Bob) A little more on Lifeform 13013. He comes from another set of multiverses. He was defeated by an adversary there and banished to our lowly physical universe. He is much lower powered in our space. Grimble
  5. I'm writing up an energy being. "He" will usually have a body made of pure energy. He can fly up to, or slower than light speed. Shoots various types of energies in beam form. "Bob" can take a human form for up to an hour, but then "he" needs to stay in energy form for at least an hour before going back into human form... Anyway. HELP! Show me how you would write this up. My brain hurts. This is my 14th character write-up today. I've got 5 or 6 different builds in my head and I'm trying to min/max all of them. I don't need a write up. Just let me know how you think it would be best to write up Bob. Thanks in advance. Grimble
  6. Re: WWYCD: Let's Rock! One Man Gang: He'd step up as the Earth's best bet to win. He's a super-strong, super-tough, super-fast regenerating bounty hunter who can create 4 exact duplicates. He would change his name to... One Man Band: The dupes don't have mind link, but he has been working with himself for about a century. They would play together better than any other band in history. Once Doctor Disco hit him with the Rock Ray they would get their gadgeteer contacts to build them the best super-tough and tuned instruments. Drums, 2 guitars, bass, keyboards, fiddle, super-amps, and of course a super-cow bell! The One Man Band would play a combination of classic rock and heavy metal. Covers are O.K., but they would try to get their more artistic and cool contacts to write up some rockin' tunes. The Ultimate Battle of the Bands would take place on a stage built in a huge flat open space. This way huge ammounts of people can show up and watch. If worse comes to worse, and One Man Band lost the competition, he'd try to defeat Mechanon's band in a more traditional manner. Grimble
  7. Re: Rejected Superhero Names Fear Manipulator who wears a cat costume...Scaredy Cat
  8. Re: Mutant Detectors In my game, IHA has them. They get funding from a secret govt group who funnels money to them through several dummy companies and charity orgs. My version of Minuteman robots have them built in. Who has them? IHA, PRIMUS, UNTIL, First World Govt. Security Agents (Not standard Equip, but they have access if needed), Certain Master Villains, One Master Villain (The Fixer) will sell one to anyone with enough cash. I haven't decided who first developed it, but I'm leaning towards IHA researchers. Grimble
  9. Re: Around the World With A New Character Each Week I just want to thank you, tribe! Your write-ups are great and I'm planning on using several in my campaign. Grimble
  10. Re: DEX levels in your campaign. I've got 9 players in my current game. Character DEX runs from 12 to 38. I think the players have done pretty well matching DEX to type of super they're playing. Most of the lower DEX characters have taken CSLs for their specialized attacks. Grimble
  11. Re: Zoom: Academy for Superheroes My PCs are currently having a recruitment drive for a secondary team. They have had many app, lications from useful, but inexperienced supers. They are thinking of setting up a training center for young heroes. I'll have to take a look at Zoom. Right now they are thinking of setting up something similar to Xavier's Institute and a more supervised Teen Titans. I have seen Sky High. Their school will be much smaller. Grimble
  12. Re: AK: Everywhere He's already got HUGE amounts of movement powers. That's a different matter. I am just interested in the best way to show that he KNOWS where you need to go. There have been some interesting suggestions. So far, I'm planning to use Universal Area Knowledge written on the character sheet as Universal Taxi Driver 30- Grimble
  13. Re: World Watchers Beta Team Thanks for all the suggestions, folks! I've used several of them. My PCs have started interviewing Supers for their beta team. Hopefully next week the team will be hired. I'll post a list of those chosen and what they do. Grimble
  14. Re: AK: Everywhere AK: Earth wouldn't be enough. I do mean AK: Everywhere. Different planets, alternate realities, dimensions... You get the picture.
  15. Re: AK: Everywhere I am the GM. I was thinking of using a VPP or maybe a limited form of the Universal Scholar from Ultimate Skills, AK only. Grimble
  16. I am building an NPC who is the Blind God of Taxi Drivers. He needs to have area knowledge: Everywhere. How should I build this. Should I go more complicated than AK: Everywhere 25-, or more? Any suggestions welcome. Grimble
  17. Re: Character help. Do you have any other 9' tall bricks in the campaign as NPCs? He could be a botched or altered cloning. Grimble
  18. Re: Just because I felt like it, The Red Tomato, er Tornado Thanks for the memories, starblaze!
  19. Re: Best ever reason to NOT be a superhero... My vulnerabilities include knives, clubs and bullets fired from guns.
  20. Re: Rejected Superhero Names A hero with a Basketball schtick and gimmicked basketballs...The Dribbler
  21. Re: Rejected Superhero Names I wrote up The Defenestrator as a villain in a long ago game. He had extra STR just for pushing. He could also open gates behind people that led to some of the highest windows in the city. Grimble
  22. Re: best ever reason to be a Sidekick(hero support) I have a death wish AND I love spandex!
  23. Re: Best ever reason to NOT be a superhero... Sure I can shoot laser beams out of my eyes, but I am a hemophiliac!
  24. Re: Rejected Superhero Names A plucky sidekick with lots of moxie: Spunky
  25. Re: Best ever Reason to NOT be a superVillian!! The voices in my head say I'm destined for more than just supervillainy.
