  2. Re: Creepiest/Sickest superhero concept ever? Hideous, Monster and the Corinthian don't seem to fit the "SuperHERO" concept from the title of the thread. Just an observation, Grimble
  3. Re: Creepiest/Sickest superhero concept ever? I agree, Spawn was nasty. How about The Spleen from the Mystery Men! I'd say he was pretty sick. Grimble
  4. I'm about to introduce my PCs to their evil counterparts from an alternate Earth. This being a standard comic book trope, I want to hear how you have done this to the super teams you run for. Be it evil clones, invaders from an alternate dimension, or whatever. Also, WHY did you put your group against themselves? I'm doing it because they haven't quite been working as a team. I want to show them what they could do if they coordinated with one another in combat. I also think it will be fun and really cool! What were your reasons? Grimble
  5. Re: Heroic Action Points I'm sure these are just for Pulp Hero. The setting is lower powered, but you can sometimes do amazing things, or escape inescapable situations. For this, you use Heroic Action Points. Very much like White Wolf's Adventure! Pulp era game. In Adventure! They are called Inspiration points, but they are the same thing. If you like them, and feel they fit other settings, remember that the rules are there to be used any way you want. Grimble

  7. Re: Novice Supervillian disadvantage How about a Soc Lim: Can't keep henchmen. Maybe his plans are never quite fully thought out. Maybe he expects them to do his laundry between jobs. He could make them wear really goofy or uncool outfits that conform to his Schtick... Whatever the reason, the villain never has the same henchmen whenever he encounters the heroes. They may even take off during a fight! Grimble
  8. Re: What would your Master Villain do? Mr. Perfect: Mr. Perfect would use his mastery of teleportation technology to set a trap for the pesky "heroes". The foolish do-gooders always fall for a trap involving a loved one or pop star or some such. The entire warehouse will be wired with the most advanced teleportation technologies. Once the entire group is in the building, teleport them to seperate holding cells. I just happen to have been working on special holding cells, tailored to each super-pest. Once I...ah,yes...I mean once "we" have them, we steal their tech, take blood and tissue samples and work on my clone army! First, we clone one of each, age accellerated, of course. Direct Neural Interface will teach them the skills they need, while asuring complete loyalty. The cloned "heroes" will cause much tainting of their names and steal any and all prototypes and super-tech I choose. Now...once the New Pantheon is out of the way for good, how long is the grace period before we start fighting each other for control of the world. You really don't believe our alliance can last forever?
  9. Re: Please help... Name My Superhero Group! (in-game contest) The Windy City Six
  10. Re: Just kanoodling; what would you do with 'Rewind'? The problem I have with your build is that he actually does travel back in time to do his rewind, right? My game Universe includes Temporal Devices. There are devices that can stop Time Travel in an area (One of the many dampeners built into the Super Teams holding cells). The way you built him, he could still use his power in a field like this. Besides, Extradimensinal Movement would be cheaper that your Clairsentience. I do like your take on it. It's just the mechanics of it and the SFX that I think would work better with a more traditional write-up of a character like this. What would I do with him? Well, I already use Captain Chronos in my game. I don't have a problem with a character like this. I would set more tim e for combat if I knew he would be involved. Combat already takes a while. Add in a guy that can rewind the battle several segment (Or even rewind to the beginning!) would really prolong combat. Mostly, I'd use him as a good samaritan type. Saving people for deadly accidents before they happen. Some of his saves might not even be readily apparent to those saved. This could lead to some fun roleplay. Grimble
  11. Re: Merfolk character concept You can do a -6" running and +12" swimming for a net total of 0 pts. Maybe give a + to PER Sight group only underwater. Grimble
  12. Re: Best Mystic comic/character ever? Hellblazer or Hellboy! Both are awesome for very different reasons. Grimble

  14. Re: ONE power: what do you do with it? There's no framework. The power has Variable Advantage. It's always personal level, unless I use the +1/2 advantage to buy Megascale... Grimble
  15. Re: Cap is dead!!!! MAN! I really hate Civil War!!! Grimble
  16. Re: Random Question Genocide says what it does and tries to do what it says. They were out to exterminate the mutant race. Grimble
  17. Re: ONE power: what do you do with it? First off, right now we have primative space travel. I'm sure within 50 billion years I could come up with a cool ride. As long as there are books I haven't read, I'd be able to keep whatever sort of pseudo-sanity I'm going to start with. Lastly, I'm pretty sure the human race isn't the only sentient being in the galaxy. Finding more (If they haven't found us yet) would give me a hobby after the human race becomes extinct (Not that I think that will happen. They may evolve far beyond me, but extinct seems defeatist to me) Grimble

  19. Re: Inherent So, can my Brick character take his armored skin as Inherent? I don't think this should be used for everything. Just my humble opinion, Grimble
  20. Re: Build your Super Self I see myself becoming your typical Brick. I'd Try to get the ball rolling with City Protectors. I'd hire a manager and try to find a cool city to pay me to be their protector. I'd help during disasters. In between disasters I'd be a one man utility crew. I see lots of uses for a brick in helping a city. I'd also protect the city from any less-than-moral supers who may want to use their powers for quick gains in MY city. If you choose to become a supervillian, just stay out of my stomping ground. Grimble
  21. Re: ONE power: what do you do with it? It's a toss up between... Full Life Support Or 17" Teleportation (Safe Blind Teleport,+1/4, Variable Advantage,+1) 76.5 active pts. I'd just keep 0 END Cost on when I didn't need another Advantage. Just being able to use teleport at both personal scale and megascale makes Var Adv worth it. Usable On Others is also handy. Grimble
  22. Re: ONE power: what do you do with it? Actually a 27-. You start with 10 pts of INT for free.
  23. Re: (worst ever)...reasons to be a supervillain The giant invisible rabbit told me to. Grimble
