  17. The version we make over here is more like a cake than a bread per se. It's made with bananas, sugar, flour, baking soda and/or baking powder, vanilla extract, and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. It also frequently features walnuts, though I have seen a hazelnut version as well. I'd send you a recipe, but I don't want to have to convert all the archaic units. There is a bread that can be made with plantains. I think I had it once. It wasn't memorable enough for me to be sure.
