Pariah reacted to Ockham's Spoon in Jokes
Is it just me that feels like the English language is mocking us with the way the word 'phonetic' is spelled?

Pariah got a reaction from Ockham's Spoon in Jokes
A woman in her late forties starts taking swimming lessons. When her friends ask about her new interest, she says, "My son is dating a girl who's a little insecure. She likes to ask him things like, 'If your Mom and I both fell into the water, who would you save first?' I just want him not to have to worry about that."
Her son, meanwhile, is having one of those days with his girlfriend. Sure enough, she asks him, "If your Mom and I both fell into the water, who would you save first?"
He replies, "It's not an issue, sweetheart. My Mom is learning how to swim."
She's frustrated. "No, you have to choose! You have to jump in and save one of us!"
He just shakes his head. "Well, then I'm afraid you're probably going to die."
Now she's furious. "What? How can you say that?"
"Because I don't know how to swim, and I know Mom is going to save me before she saves you."

I am still impressed that the same actor playing Paul is the same one who recently played Willy Wonka, and both excellently, IMO. I have high hopes for his future as an actor, as the 2 roles mentioned I think couldnt be more far apart in character if you tried.

It does, but Villenueve plans to make a third film based on Dune Messiah. This second film clearly leaves some openings for that.

Be careful who you trust. Sugar and salt look the same.

Pariah reacted to Dr.Device in Happy Trans Day of Visibility!
Yesterday marked six years of me never having to pretend to be a guy again, and today, like every March 31st, is International Transgender Day of Visibility, so it's a double celebration for me.
Being visible as a trans person is important to me for two main reasons. For one, to remind non LGBTQ+ folks that people like me exist and are real people who are part of their communities. The other reason is to help older trans people who think that they're too old to transition know that it's never too late. I started my transition at fifty-two and it's still the best thing I've ever done for myself.
So, like the title says, happy Trans Day of Visibility.

Pariah got a reaction from Old Man in NFL 2023
The first game of the UFL season is playing on Fox right now. I turned on the game, and my little girl went nuts. She loves football.
I'm not usually a huge fan of the monocolor look, but Arlington looks pretty good in sky blue. Birmingham would look better if they had gold pants instead of white.
We're about 6 minutes into the first quarter with no score yet. Arlington just got a takeaway. The Birmingham receiver bobbled the pass and it fell right into the defensive back's arms.
Now they're interviewing Deion Sanders on the sideline. I don't really know why.

Dune: The Second Half. Villenueve knows how to shoot a beautiful film, wish I could have seen it in IMAX. Pretty faithful to the book, though it cuts away some arguably unnecessary parts in a way that probably improves the movie. Looking forward to the Third Half.

And our media. I'm frustrated with the "both sides are just as bad~!" bullpuckey reporting.
