There's one in the adventure Atlas Unleashed called Recoil

I think the GAC character Assault has in mind is Long John Sliver.  There's also Origami Girl but she's more a shape shifter

Mine are 2.5 m tall the same long and I have 3, one of which is half full of war games. I once thought I would collect all of the different RPG's in existence, when I exceeded 100 games I ceased to do so.

I, for one, would be sad to see social justice removed from D&D products. I happen to think social justice is a good thing.

The problem with alien cultures is that you need a degree of familiarity at the same time.

It's the difference between "yeah, I get it" and "no, I am not going to read forty pages of mediocre prose just to be able to play". Much of the skill in worldbuilding lies in that difference.

Iron had its advantages in a lot of areas even in its crudest form, just not for stuff like swords and armor.  Arrowheads, for example, could be harder and sharper, and thus better.  Armor was heavier and more brittle so not as good.  At least that is how I understand it.

One of the things that archaeologists are finding is that people were working better material earlier than previously understood.  Vikings were making damasked steel from lumps of rock found in swamps, for example.  Many of the assumptions of the "dark ages" etc from the 20th and earlier centuries are being undone.

Most people make assumptions like that. But until iron started being carbonized to make steel, it was not as hard as bronze, and more brittle. Its advantage is that it's far more abundant on this planet than copper and tin, so when the technology to smelt it became available, it was much cheaper to arm large numbers of fighters with iron weapons than with bronze. Steel remained expensive and uncommon until mass produced during the industrial age.

I just checked. It's Bronze and Iron.

It goes with "Iron is better" rather than "Iron becomes cheaper", although there is a bit of the latter in that iron becomes the default in price lists for the later period.

I think the Iron Age in that part of the world started in about 1200 BC, so ... Moses was Bronze, David was Iron. Or something.

Not discussing wich is the best, I'm here just to tell I played a campaign in 6th century Europe, from Byzantium to the Vandal Kingdom to the Persian frontier in Armenia, with the Blue and Green hippodrome factions fighting in the streets, Huns still menacing, conspiracies, spies, and a gold mine. Years 519-535, a long run.

There is a good piece of source material available that can be adapted easily for Hero system usage, Chivalry & Sorcery RPG., created by two history students studying European history. It is complex, not particularly user friendly, I was a beta tester for it in my late teens. The tome has a wealth of knowledge of the customs, societies and general life in the middle ages (mostly middle age's Germany). Gives a very good overview of how to become a Knight, and how magic or at least how middle Europeans thought magic worked. I still have my copy of the original book, a gift from Wilf Bakus one of the co-creators, I always intended to get it autographed but sadly I left it too long, and he has passed. We were friends for more than fourty years I still miss him and his bombast and wisdom.

Speaking of which, may I recommend the movie Nomad: the Warrior? Made in Kazakhstan, and skip the "Borat" jokes, it's a crackerjack Fantasy epic. With no magic as such, but there's prophecy, destiny, and battles both glorious and terrible. And never since the glory days of Hollywood westers, and maybe not even then, has a camera so loved horses.

Another old fogy here, and Ball and Arnaz's company was the first thing I thought of, too.

In fact, given the median age of this community, I think that will come to mind a lot. 👴👵

This may be a generational thing, but to me Desilu is Desilu Productions, Lucille Ball & husband Desi Arnaz's TV production company.  For the sake of us old folks, you might add some bits that come in from that association.

And endorsed Trump. Just embarrassingly craven given his campaign history and comments. Probably angling for a cushy cabinet post like boot licker, sign spinner, or human ottoman.

I'm still working on my homebrew based on California as an island aka Insula Calafia (Island of Calafia), based on a legendary Amazon queen who included griffins in her forces. I'm also working on the changed geography and adding fantasy elements, such as turning California Condors into rocs. I also renamed a couple of the major cities.

San Francisco = Porta Aurea (Golden Gate)
Los Angeles = Urbs Nuntiorum (City of the Messengers)

Other details are extrapolated from this video:

I'd much rather go with that. The campaign tells the characters' stories.

Quite likely a charioteer, where his limited mobility would be less of a problem. Hopefully he would have followers if he had to fight on foot.
