  1. Go ahead and repeat. Even if something has been done before, there is still room for something new to be introduced (look at the Superman clone Homelander). I don't care how diligent your clone is to the original, changes will appear from the setting, material, sources, evolution, or many other places that the clone will be working from that the original most likely will never discover.
  2. Q: What did he hope to accomplish with his water walking stint? A: Ambassador Groin is here to solve all the problems.
  3. I have always believed that the gm should always start character generation (especially session zero) with the campaign background. This allows the players to work together and create characters that only require minor tweaks. It works against the wild characters (such as putting Flash into a dnd game). Most likely the gm in the above case came from some system where all the prelim work was done by "pthers" and and assumed that all games work the same way.
  4. You make it clear at several points that magical items generally possess charges in some form that cannot be restored. Yet in other systems they have recoverable charges on many magic devices. Are you stating that such a thing is simply not possible under the system your creating or is there some workaround?
  5. Q: What ever happened to the Machu warrior? A: Planet side down.
  6. You wonder why people are constantly making demands upon your time and person.
  7. Two forms that have been used strongly in the past and lessened up recently are matter/antimatter and zero point energy (ZPEr). In current reality, both are either HIGHLY expensive or some other reason not available. However, people being what they are cannot leave any problem alone. Due to this, I believe that both of these energies will eventually become available to humanity.
  8. I got thinking recently about the different ways that people attempt to create energy. In ancient times, people had muscle power in some form, either human or animal. Eventually we figured out power of moving water, then came other forms of power that are either more powerful or portable (or both). Today we possess a wide array of ways to create power - muscle, hydro, steam, wind, petroleum, solar, among MANY more. Including discussion about their strengths and weaknesses, I would like for us to brainstorm possible ways people can create energy that either are only theory today or not even at that stage, might even talk about completely fictional sources - those might become real someday.
  9. I like to refer to these as laundry machines Finally, we get skating with zambonis NT: politicians (more boo-worthy the better)
  10. Q: What was the greatest complaint the dinosaurs had after the asteroid impact? A: The Moon - it's dyyiiinnnggg!!!
  11. As technology progresses, I don't see why labs need to be locked in the ancient position they have always been in. AVR-equiped lab could interact with people the same manner that normal people will, allowing for many more possible alternatives.
  12. I have tried the WF and since it basically says that a character has ability to wield stated weapon with no penalty, there is no way to determine who is better other than straight DEX roll, and in this case why have have any skill? This skill is attempting to simulate characters who have practiced with random items that can be quickly grasped and used in combat situations beyond that of normal people, or even most combat trained individuals.
  13. Here's something that I got thinking about recently. While everyone has the ability to grab random items and use them as weapons at no charge, some individuals seem to possess an innate ability that exceeds what most people can do. I have not been able to discover some method that will properly simulate some way to perform this. To remedy this, I am proposing the Improvised Weapon skill. This will be a conventional 3/2 DEX skill that will allow someone to grab something that can be used in one hand that cannot be considered a weapon and then turn it into a weapon. This could be a stone, eraser, tablet, or any other device that GM allows. Exceptions will be afore mentioned weapons, pool cues (too large for one hand and arguably a weapon), furniture (too large for one hand), and much more. I would like to hear everyone's thoughts about this - good, bad, ugly, friendly, hostile, any other way.
  14. Q: Why are all these troops behaving in such an undignified manner? A: That treat came with a trick.
  15. Jennifer Walters spends a rare quiet moment surrounded by Thing's weight set and legal briefs. NT: Comical HQs that one can discover among the various teams (super, espionage, or any other type) - crazier the better.
  16. We can get some more enjoyment with our characters here. Let's make someone in some genre by the word given. While this word should be some common word, that doesn't need to be the case. It doesn't matter what genre this character is in, if they possess powers, or essentially anything else. All that can be decided by you when the character is generated. After you create your character, you should put down another word for the next person to work on. First option: Byte
  17. Q: Dr. Doom, now that you have your ultimate goal, what are you going to do next? A: We have an expert for biology, psychology, nature, evolution, and technology. This project calls for an expert on Snarfs.
