As to this, in the past people have mentioned that they had a neat idea for a team, and whomever finished off the current team has often deferred to that person for the next team idea. I know I've done that several times. I don't know if you need to call "dibs" so much as just let people know you have an idea and hope for the best. However, in the villain team thread, I did call "dibs" on the 100th team (the Centurions), so I don't have any room to complain about anyone else doing it. And I know I have finished off a team and gave it to a previous poster, because I didnt have a concept ready. (of course, at least once I have thought of a team name just after they have posted a new team concept *facepalm* Note: Course, my mind can be wierd that way ideas float in and out, I think my synapses have a leaky valve) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However it's sounds is so beautifull and powerfull, that hearing it would cause death in any but himself. Willing to use it without endangering people, he made it so that his voice could not be heard anymore. Now people can see it as it creates light, magicians can feel it as it ripples across the etheral realm. Thorugh fine modulation of his voice he can archieve anything, anytime. Name: The Erinyes Number: 6 Theme:These six lady vigilantes have been inspired by figures (goddesses, heroines, villains or creatures) from Greek mythology. While they are not "man-haters" per se, they are very brutal when it comes to dealing with perpetrators of crimes against women (even if the perps are also women). They have a grudging respect for the group Vigilance Inc. (even if they charge money for their services) and have worked at times (though even the Erinyes are fully unaware of who and what she is) with the sorceress known as the Sophia. What she didn't know was that the human traffickers her father had paid were getting even better money from organized crime to supply slaves and test subjects to various enterprises. She found herself being tested with various serums and radiation which were supposed to give superpowers. They seemed not to work. Several years later, when Anna hit puberty, she was sold again to a prostitution ring. The combination of her new hormones and the trauma of discovering just what the pimp had in mind to "break her in" snapped something in her genes, and Anna's superpowers finally manifested. Once out of that hellhole, Anna searched for the rest of her family, who had all been murdered one way or another, except for a brother she was never able to trace. Along the way, she met other women who wanted to punish crimes, and took the name Tisiphone, the avenger of murder. Tisiphone has leathery wings allowing her to fly, and her sharp claws exude a neurotoxin that she can control the intensity of, from partial paralysis to heart attack. She also has a "murder sense" which allows her to detect whether a person has killed another sentient being; it works better, the more emotionally connected the murderer and victim were. She's a bit less focused on "crimes against women" than the other Erinyes, but if there's more than one murder involved, she will prioritize those of women and children over adult men. The need for 6 characters causes soem problems, as I only found 3 Erinyes on wikipedia: "Alecto ("unnameable" who appeared in Virgil's Aeneid), Megaera ("grudging"), and Tisiphone ("vengeful destruction")" And there seem to be no Roman names for them, so we won't be able to follow the theme when picking names every time. She is a mermaid in the water, a centaur on land, and a woman when she is posing as her other self, C. C. Ryder. In all three cases, she is stronger and faster than a normal human, and uses the weaponry associated with her half forms (Bows and tridents). She has the ability to temporarily "freeze" opponents in their tracks with her gaze. She is extra protective of rape victims who didnt get a fair shake by the justice system. In truth, she has joined the group in the hopes she will come into contact with Athena, and find some way to avenge her ancestor for not only allowing her defilement by the god Poseidon but the cruel punishment of his victim, her distant ancestor. Ingrid Patton was a workaholic, throwing herself into a secret technical project for the Navy in developing an armored battlesuit with mechanized tentacles. The powerful tentacles were to be used initially for sea mine removal, but there were hopes that the suit could also be used to assist with underwater salvage in peace time. The suit was quite capable of working on land as well. So caught up in her work, Ingrid's home life suffered for it. She had never been the most attentive mother and wife and failed to see the warning signs that her daughter Emily -- her only child -- was in trouble. At 14, Emily ran away from home. Seven months later, police found her body. She had been prostituting herself to survive, but the police had no leads as to who killed her. Devastated by the loss, Ingrid's marriage crumbled. Soon after, she snapped and "liberated" the prototype battlesuit. Taking on the name Scylla, Ingrid seeks to avenge her daughter -- and hopefully assuage her guilt in failing to protect her in the first place. Alicia Ann Cardwell was one of the first to defend the town. She was active between 1755 and 1778. In the winter of 1740-1741, she was found abandoned as a toddler of approx. 18 months by a man named Cardwell, an eccentric living on what was mostly the frontier at the time. Within a decade, enough people had come to the area to create the town seemingly drawn to the place after she was found. However, the adoptive father and daughter werent well regarded. They tended to live on the outskirts off to themselves, the man was just a crazy hermit to the people, but the girl was "wierd" and some thought she be posessed. AS fate would have it on June 8, 1755, on what would be revealed to be the girl's 16th birthday. An old woman came to town. Not just any old woman but one whose name was Beulah Tebbetts, and evil old crone who had escaped from Massachusetts' witch hunt back in the 1690s, one of the few true witches, ironically. She had supposedly disappeared. Although local tribes told stories of an evil white woman who lived in the wilderness, such tales were not taken seriously by settlers. But, now she had come to bring back her granddaughter. Of course, the town not fond of the Cardwells were quite willingly to give Alicia to her if their village would be spared. The hunter Cardwell, not so much. As Mrs. Tebbetts was about to take her away the hunter attacked being stricken down and gravely wounded. Reacting, Alicia reciting a biblical verse, her "magic" manifested and she healed her adoptive father, and smote down her grandmother. Saving the town. Despite her being called a "witch" by outsiders. Her powers were holy-based in nature. The event in 1755, would gain respect for the Cardwells. THough, they still werent particularly comfortable with the townsfolk. Alicia became the town guardian nonetheless. While she was most comfortable using her powers mostly for healing. One of the most famous accounts of her power use came one time in 1762 when cleansing a house the evil spirits of the house attacked. Alicia seemed to be surrounded by a "holy shield" that caused the evil spirits to disintegrate into a puff of smoke when they made contact. Things came to an end in the fall of 1778. Alicia and the town had become sympathizers with the independence movement. A British major who secretly dabbled in the occult brought in a mysterious stranger to eliminate her in the hopes to break the sympathizers of the area. After a great battle the weakened stranger managed to come out victorious. The "stranger" was none other than Unforgiven from current day's Infernal Affairs. While Alicia lost the battle she greatly weakened the diabolical sorceror to such an extent it took several years before he could regain full power. In fact he would not fully recover until the events of the French Revolution, which he played his usual behind the scenes corrupting influence. He left his red mark at the scene of various battles with gangsters and german agents trying to use the town as a stepping stone for crimes into other states and Canada. His silver bullets also foiled various inhuman monsters that the world was not meant to know. At the end of the war, he faded away into obscurity. He played the fool and town drunk but that meant folk were too easy with information around him. Then came justice in the form of Spirit of Independence, masked man of liberty. A few people knew what he was doing and aided him in his endeavours. However, the Civil War depressed him greatly as families were on both sides. And so there was little for him to do until 1864 when the Spirit foiled the plans of the evil Confederate spy Theodore Jackson. Incensed that he had been defeated Theodore emptied his revolver into John before escaping to commit villainy elsewhere. It was only then that the town found out that their protector was John. That is, until the Red Staff arrived. He corrected that, thanks to his ability to disrupt all magic no matter how powerfull. He also seemed to be able to teleport over long distances. The source of his fearsome antimagic power was his red staff. Nobody knows what happened to him, but after one day in 1800 he simply vanished wihout a trace. The few who knew of it asume his weakness against Blunt Weapons caused his demise. His origin is something that most people of that time would not have wanted to believe: He was an Alien. Shapeshifting into a Human and Teleporting came naturally as came the vulnerability to blunt force. However, the staff was far from being natural. It was an ancient weapon, know to take many forms. For his kind it took to form of their dealiest weapon: A quarterstaff. This weapon had guided him to earth because it knew it's favourite prey was here. He eventually died in a cave, when he was attack by some random muggers while resting. Not recognising the weapon and not destined to wield it, they simply left it there. Doc Carter was an expert in the sciences of his day, and capable of matching many leading brains in their own fields. He was lost during an expedition to the South Pole. As the Red scare kicked in The Son of Liberty appeared. He fought the influence of the Mafia, the FBI when it tried to frame or portray others as Red, bigotry, intolerance and crime.
