death tribble
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Hard Cash Guy Bennett is Hard Cash, Bounty Hunter. He goes after everyone provided the price is right. However he is of the old school which has lead to the rather unflattering nickname 'Bring them back dead Bennett'. See Guy will use lethal force against targets provided they have broken the moral code that all people should abide by. The Ten Commandments. Yes, even if you covet something Guy believes that gives him the right to kill you if you are a target. He has armed and armoured himself to a great degree in order to get the job done. For this reason, and the fact that he is willing to go toe to toe with some of the most dangerous villains on the planet, he is a member of the club. And for the money. Despite what any of the others think of him and what anyone else in law enforcement or anywhere else thinks of him.

Lonesome Cowboy A Martial Artist and Superskileld Gunsliger, that uses a pair of magical Six-Shooters (wich have way more than 6 shots) and Brawling Skills in combat. He is notorious for workign alone, but this isn't just because he dislikes company. It's because his skills work disproportional to the number of sentient beings in a fight: When he is fightign stupid/nonsentient Robots or following a Trail his abilities easily outshine that of most enemies. Against a single foe he is on par with the others. But give him an ally or a handfull of mooks to fight an he quickly becomes a normal gunslinger. He still works with the group because of his unmatched trackign ability (when not in combat) and they usually arrange it so that he can take on one foe the westerns style - a one on one duel. Nothere
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Julius Trub was always a rowdy youth. After a hard day on the ranch he'd spend most nights at the bar. And on weekends he'd end up at the courthouse or jail for speeding, fighting, and once cow tipping. To try and instil some disiplne in him he was sent to the army. After two tours he decided he'd enough disiplne and left. Though he found he enjoyed the life style andtried to join the police force. Unfortunatly his age and mispent youth were starting to catch up to him. Not a day passed where he didn't wake up with some ache or other. So the best he could do was a security gaurd at a big gentics firm. When the firm told him they wanted him to try out a new experiment they had in mind, he agreed. What they didn't tell him was if he survive, he'd be the first. And the company had kidnapped people to test it on first. Slime Girl- Most of the time, Slime Girl comes in the form of a green skinned girl in her mid to late teens. However, with but a thought, she can turn into a pool of emerald hued slime able to engulf criminals or slap them about with whiplike strands akin to liquid rubber. Slime Girl can enlarge herself, but only in slime form, to enough volume to fill an average swimming pool if need be. Some find her power disgusting but you tend to get used to it and she's adorable in her human form. She seems naturally curious, and a bit naive. In truth, the slime form is her natural form. Slime Girl is actually an orphaned alien life form that now considers the human scientist who found her in a fatherly light. She hopes to one day change the hue of her skin to something more human so she can walk among Earthlings without drawing so much attention. death tribble
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Stevedora The daughter of a hard working docker, Ellie Sanders became the Dock Princess Stevedora. Her father had wanted a boy but what he got was Ellie. She was everything a blue collar dad could want from a son, big, powerful and able to take a punch. It dismayed her father. But for her sex she could have made the school football team. Mind you when the Jocks mocked her she decked them. The girls at her school adopted her as a bodyguard. No one would mess with them if Ellie was around. And the Jocks took her seriously when Coach got her to take them on in practice. Her mother was sad because well Ellie was more a tomboy. She really did not look good in a dress. And all that weight training did not help. Ellie idolised her father and would come see him on the docks. However as her father would not play ball with smugglers and thieves, they decided to teach him a lesson and dropped a container on her. Her father was distraught and other dockers shocked and horrified..... until the container lifted up and out stepped Ellie. Big she maybe, but dumb she was not. 'That can't have been an accident' said she before setting off after the crane operator. She caught him and made him talk. This lead to the arrest of the smugglers and thieves. And Ellie became part of the Docks security. She dresses like a stereotypical Stevedore. Dad is now happy as his daughter has made him proud. Ellie will enthusiastically pursue villains off the docks which in turn lead her into meeting the others. As a note to all potential villains. Don't expose dock workers to odd chemicals or radiation or store/ship them in containers. In the end it will come back to bite you.

She is usually acompanied by a group of rambling, shambling and durable corpses. But she only "uses" corpses that were given to her out of free will from thier previous owners. Cygnia
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Psithriller is a powerful telepath and telekinetic with the ego to match. She absolutely LOVES flying with her powers and is prone on taking dangerous risks. Unlike most mentalists, she likes being at the forefront of battle -- something that her fellow heroines are trying to dissuade her from. So far, her powers and defenses have been able to hold up. Unfortunately, she's not done the best job keeping her secret ID a secret as well as she should and has had to mind wipe a few mooks who have gotten too close here and there. THAT, the rest of the team isn't aware of yet. Part of the reason is that Psithriller is hoping a villain will "accidentally" take out her hated (non-powered) brother, giving her the chance to play up to the media for sympathy. She's too squeamish to do it herself. Unfortunately for her, her brother does a MUCH better job of protecting his own privacy, so villains keep targeting her instead. Ironically, the other members of the team actually don't know Psithriller's secret ID or anything about her brother, so they don't know if her hatred is even justified or not. New Team: The Heat Seekers Number: 6 Theme: These aspiring heroes all have fire/heat based powers. Unfortunately, they all have varying degrees of Unluck as well, so despite their best efforts (or perhaps BECAUSE of their best efforts), they tend to cause a lot of collateral damage. So far, no innocents have been hurt -- yet.
Christopher
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Vestia, the free Spirit The sevent wheel of the Superheroines (not a part of the 6 that were requested). She had always been somewhat fearfull of restraint and confined space, but when she got her speedster power things got worse. She came incredibly fearfull of entrapment, so much she can't keep still (it's a wonder she manages to sleep). In fact she feels being restricted so much, she developed a strong Vestiphobia - fear of clothing. She tried to get over those other two before becomming a hero, but that was simply not possible. She tried superthin clothes that are almost not to feel, but even knowing they were there prooved too much. She tried vibrating while out to blurr her features, but that tires her very fast. So she did the next best thing - she overcame her shame. She is working on her Vesitphobia and she now manages to wear very loose fitting and not-very-covering clothes in case she has to apear for really large crowds. But she exuses herself fast, to burn her clothing. Whenever she is entangeled or grabbed in combat she panically starts to vibrate herself out of phase and escapes, but such a shock leaves her naturally tired. Naturally her weakpoints don't help with hiding her face (or anything else for that mater), so she has a public ID.

Cygnia
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Shaitan is a lesser efreet, a fiery demon of Arabic lore. However, this one was summoned in Death Valley by an ambitious wannabe sorceror who was willing to sacrifice anything for power -- even his own family. In vain, his trapped wife pleaded with her husband to forgo this madness and spare their children at least, but the evil mage would have none of it, killing his two infant daughters first. With desperate rage, his wife finally broke free and lunged forward, breaking the runes that bound Shaitan even as her husband plunged his knife into her back. Freed from his control, Shaitan eagerly burned the mage into ash. Yet after his vengeance was sated, the efreet hesitated, curious about the dying woman still trying to save her children. She pleaded with the efreet to bring them back to life, but such power was beyond even his scope and for once in his long existence, he was honest. Still, even as she laid dying, he owed his liberator a boon. So, she made him swear an oath that he would do good deeds so that she and her children wouldn't have died in vain. It's been an interesting start for Shaitan, to say the least. Most infernal creatures see the efreet as a traitor, most celestial/holy entities see Shaitan as playing a long game of corruption. And most mortals don't want to recognize him as being any sort of hero. Not to mention, Shaitan isn't the most subtle or diplomatic of creatures. The rest of the Heat Seeker are trying to integrate him better into the mortal world, but they have their own troubles...
Crimson
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! When he just could not take any more, Eddie Erickson ran away from his abusive parents. Unfortunately life on the streets was not better, just a different kind of pain. Eddie had a plan to end the pain. It was another kind of running away, forever. He was on the bridge, looking at the dark waters far bellow him when his life changed. It was on the edge of the bridge like someone threw it out of a car not quite hard enough to get it in the river. It was a metal glove like a knight would wear. It was so out of place that Eddie had to investigate. When he touched it, the power was like nothing he had ever experienced. Then he put the glove on. It took a lot of practice, and a couple accidentally destroyed abandoned tenements for Eddie to learn to control the gauntlets fires. Now he can get the gauntlet to produce flames at will and shape them into a number of useful effects, he just cannot always stop them once started. He joined the Heat Seakers for their help in protecting his fellow runaways and street kids. He is the Flaming Fist.
Christopher
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Heartfire Her power lies not with direct fire manipulation, but with raising the "fire of the heart". She can bolster her allies resolve and tenacity. She can also cure poisions, Drain Transforms and other ailments. The only "small" problem is that all of her powers tend to quite literally burn the victim from within when they wear off/complete. It isn't life threathening (Minor Normal Damage Side Effect) but it is not nice either. She could heal that with her ability to "burn out wounds", but the name is not a misnomer: It can heal you totally over time (heals more than it burns), but the pain is rather "not nice". She tries to not use it to much and instead plays a sort of cheerleader for the others and dabbles a little bit in Martial Arts, but neither is on a level that she could consider it her sole ability. Christopher
Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Phoenix A young women with powerfull Fire abilities (Inlcuding Blast, Flight, Damagign Aura). She also has a beatifull singing voice. It also seems that she knows about things that are going to happen or things she could not have learned of normally, almost as if she knew more than meets the eye. And the Dragons behave odd towards her: Always fiercely sendign thier minion after her, but being respectfull (almost fearfull) in conversations. There is simple reason she knows this stuff: She kind of created the world. Or at least brought it in it's current shape. In the timeline she comes from she was an actuall phoenix, a arch sourceror and a great hero. But one of her foes cast a spell that would have spelled doom not only for the planet but the entire universe, maybe the multiverse. It was to late to dispell or counter it, but she still had one option: Flying into the sun to get enough power and changing the timeline at a point sufficciently "back". However she could also see how this timeline would unravel and knew it would be far from ideal, so she also made certain to be reborn in this new world to assist humanity. Compared to her former self she is not more than "the smoke created by the flames", but she will eventually regrow to full power. She only remembers a few things from back when she saw in the future of this timeline. The Dragon Lord and his minor dragons are naturally warry of Phoenixes (both species are old enemies) and thus wiped them out before starting the conquest, so this girl with the faint "smell" of a phoenix is curious to them.
