Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Coffee is an incense.

You are supposed to grind up the beans and boil them for the aroma.

You ARE NOT supposed to drink the vile sludge that results from it.

Doc

"Vile sludge"?

Umm... you know you're supposed to use a new filter each time, right?

Maybe that's the problem...

In any case, sniffing coffee fumes is NOT going to get my lazy ass up and moving in the morning...

To keep the thread going:

I would appreciate it if you, of all people, didn't use fubar because of what it stands for.

This person thinks the f***ed up beyond all recognition. Someone else pointed out Fouled.

I'm too spacy to google right now.

Where's this from?

fubar fubar fubar

The quote is part of an email in the depths of the Linux list in portland.

Someone who really needs a lesson in reading a manual (or web page) or anything.

A different person made the FUBAR comment about the guys system which he's horked by not following the install guide.

my favorite acronym along those lines is a fictional one from Larry Niven's Known Space stories: tanj, there ain't no justice!

"Mom, do we have any more Tang?"

"No honey, I got you some fresh orange juice instead."

"Tanj!"

Reminds me of a pulpy paperback "The Red Planet" or such where the Martians are all chanting "tanetooman" as they mimic the human words "Tain't human!" that they hear but do not comprehend.
