Michael Hopcroft
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1a...1962-eng_music Jacques Brel was a Belgian singer/songwriter who flourished in France in the 1950s and 1960s but whose influence was felt well beyond the Franchophone world. He was known for his incisive lyrics and theatrical performance style, honed in the cabarets of Paris. He was also a formidable actor and was nominated for a prize at Cannes as a director. The reveue and film Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris is based on his body of work. The title is no longer accurate, as he died of lung cancer (brought about by a lifetime as a chain-smoker) in 1978.

"Purple, Yellow, Red and Blue: " "Evil Friends" Was hearing a lot of Lorde's Royals on the radio, and it's been growing on me: Been listening to a lot of Imagine Dragons lately, too: Took me and the wife a bit to realize that all three songs were the same group.
