Ternaugh Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 I hit the bargain bins at one of the local Zia Records fairly heavy on Friday, getting 16 CD albums for $10. Some Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, the Carpenters, the Chieftains, Louis Armstrong, and, well, this one: While I had heard it years ago, I didn't have it in my collection until now, and at the bargain price of fifty cents. It will go proudly next to my William Shatner discs. DentArthurDent and Pariah 1 1 Quote
Michael Hopcroft Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 Reminds me to ask what the pianos of Mozart's day looked and sounded like compared to a modern Grand or Upright. Quote
Ternaugh Posted February 15 Report Posted February 15 This song popped up on my Plex stream (deep cuts) while driving in to work. The album's been lurking in my collection since I got it from promo discs at Circuit City management training before the turn of the century. Quote
Scott Ruggels Posted February 15 Report Posted February 15 For some reason I have been on a Traveller kick, lately and this stuff seems to fit. EDM band out of Wales. Quote
Ternaugh Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 A Momentary Lapse of Reason: Remixed & Updated (Surround mix) by Pink Floyd, followed by Ammonia Avenue (5.1 mix) by the Alan Parsons Project, and now A Trick of the Tail (5.1 mix) by Genesis. Music for puttering about the house and reading newspaper sites. rravenwood 1 Quote
Ragitsu Posted February 19 Report Posted February 19 My present definition of torture: remembering scant details of a song I once enjoyed, making attempts on various lyrics search engines to find the title of said song and receiving a ton of results. I can hear the low and slow, primarily instrumental song with a soft female voice occasionally singing "In the garden." (she stretches out the "ar" portion of "garden"). I am reasonably certain the song originates from either 1995 to 2009 (at the latest) or 2000 to 2009 (again, at the latest). Quote
Ragitsu Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 (edited) One welcome consequence of all this searching: the discovery of new music. Edited February 20 by Ragitsu Quote
