She lost the ears on her bat.

 

She needs a mask too, of some kind, if she's going to fight crime. Her civilian identity would be a target unless she at least conceals some of her face.

 

But the costume looks like it offers some protection in hand-to-hand at least. She'll have to avoid gunfire, though, if she can.

The 1960s Batmoble was supposedly barely driveable. This version is very cramped and theoretically has controls that are difficult for untrained users to master. I wonder how the stunt drivers managed it (although obviously the controls on the actual, driveable Batmobile had to be much easier) and how fast it was really able to go.

If I am misquoting, I apologize, the book creeped me out so thoroughly I have never re-read it.

 

I like how in the bottom photo, the dog has this look of "Ok, I'll do this for you, but I'm really too old for all this.."

I lived near the Culver Studios lot. The old Batmobile would drive off lot about once a week to get gas. Being 5 years old, I thought it was the coolest thing to see the Batmobile getting gas.
