Lawnmower Boy
Wait. It's all about some wholesome Dwarven cleric's homespun moral guidance changing lives for the better? Damn you, Rich. Stop making me feel ways about stuff! God. I'm. . . I'm . . I'm going to go kick Aquaman in the shins. And while there are anecdotal cases of this phenomenon, most people are not defined by a single day. Kudos to Mr. Burlew for not using a cliched literary crutch. To be fair, in some media (say a 2 hour movie), you don't have time for more nuanced character development, so this is a convenient trope, but it seems to have become the norm rather than the exception unfortunately. I am guilty of it myself when writing up brief character backgrounds for NPCs because that is all I have time for, but sadly that means more two-dimensional characters. drunkonduty
So... when did Mr Scruffy learn to cast healing spells?
L. Marcus
He accidentally activated the cloak clasp, I think.
drunkonduty
Oh. Okay then. In that case, when did Belkar get a healing cloak?

Pattern Ghost
I vaguely remember him buying some kind of item when they were stocking up on magic either before or after the Gods moot. If I'm not just imagining it, then that's probably what it was.
