CorPse
As Steve fast approaches the magic 10,000 post mark, I thought I'd start a thread where people could weigh in on their favorite words of wisdom from posts no's 1 through 9,999. So, let the quotes begin!

Lord Mhoram
Re: Your Favorite Steve Long Post? I just love: "I don't generally answer game design or philosophy questions" and the ever popular "See (game book X, page y), and if that doesn't answer your question feel free to post a followup." :D:D
CorPse
Re: Your Favorite Steve Long Post? This one. Nice one... Also, I never new there was a two page combat summary in Free Stuff!

Chris Goodwin
Re: Your Favorite Steve Long Post? "Common sense, dramatic sense, and SFX dictate." I think that should be abbreviated "CDS".
Sean Waters
Re: Your Favorite Steve Long Post? It always amazes me that Steve does not have more rep. I mean, a lot of his posts are authoratitively answering specific questions, and that has to be worth the courtesy of rep, even if they DO often contain the dread CDS

I mean' date=' a lot of his posts are authoritatively answering specific questions, and that has to be worth the courtesy of rep, even if they DO often contain the dread CDS [/quote'] It could have something with the people asking the questions. I think there are a lot of folks who create a sign in just long enough to ask a couple of things and then disappear into the ether again. But, still, good point. How many line developers are online everyday answering questions big and small about their game/system? I'm gonna rep up Steve the next chance I get. ghost-angel
Re: Your Favorite Steve Long Post? Steve Long
Re: Your Favorite Steve Long Post? LOL, fun thread! It always amazes me that Steve does not have more rep. I mean, a lot of his posts are authoratitively answering specific questions, and that has to be worth the courtesy of rep, even if they DO often contain the dread CDS Well, really I think rep is something the members of this fine online community give to one another. When I answer questions (or whatever), I'm perceived as doing a job rather than voluntarily providing something fun and rep-worthy. But if anyone feels like giving me more rep, feel free. BobGreenwade
Re: Your Favorite Steve Long Post? Personally, my favorite post was when he posted my check for The Ultimate Vehicle. I'd love to see a repeat of that someday.... Seriously, I go along with SCUBA Hero: "As long as they buy it, they can call it Fred for all I care."
