One nice teaser: I was pleasantly surprised to see a reference to this thread on page 198. Many found the thread irritating (including, apparently, Lord Liaden, the thread starter, who eventually requested it be locked), but I was actually somewhat fond of it. Takofanes When one of the guys in the game group got the book, he read that section to us ... and as most of the group at least lurk here, most everyone got a laugh. Because I really' date=' really would.[/quote'] Generally agreed, and especially for foreign/fictional words and names; but in Takofanes' case, his entry in Conquerors, Killers, And Crooks actually does spell his name phonetically, as Steve transcribed it above. I know that Tuala Morn includes a pronunciation guide for all those Gaelic-derived words, and thank the gods for that, because you'd never guess how to pronounce Gaelic from how it's spelled.
