steriaca
One of the most haunted places in Paradise City must be the Hotell Californa. Finaly shuted down in 1969 or so ("We haven't had that spirit here since 1969"?), and it would of been demolitioned already except for the fact that anyone who enters can never leave ("We are programed to receve. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."). Mystics speculate that the place is in reality three places in one spot, with each place in a paraell dimention where monsters dwell ("In the Captian's Table, thay gathered for their feast. Thay stabed it with there steely knives, but thay just can't kill the Beast."). Of course, many a criminal on the run made their way to the hotel, thinking that thay could easly hideout there because eveyone else is afraid of the 'fary tails' surounding the place. Thay found out that thoes tales are real, and that thay are doomed the moment thay stepted into the place. Mystics avoid the place, but if thay live within 50 miles of it, can be awaken at night by odd whispers like "such a lovely place" and "plenty of room". death tribble
The odd shop above is called It's a Mystery. There is an arena for illegal fighting a bit like gladiatorial contests but usually boxing, martial arts or UFC style. It is renowned for having the squared circle surrounded by flames. literally a ring of fire. (Got another Johnny Cash one. I feel awesome). She was born in what is now known as the Czech Republic and is of Romani descent. As a child, she travelled much of eastern and central Europe and Africa, particularly Nigeria and South Africa. She was inducted into her family's mystical traditions at a young age when it was discovered she'd inherited the gifts of "the Sight." As she grew she found herself using her skills and powers to aid those who couldn't help themselves as she travelled the world. She's been in Paradise City for about 2 years and for once feels strangely content. Though the wanderlust in her call Personality/Motivation: Lina has taken the romantisized Gypsy ideal and run with it, she's vivacious and somewhat hedonistic. She likes attention and isn't above a bit of outrageous display to get it. She's also quite pugnacious and enjoys in your face confrontations. Though she's not one to scream obsenities, she is one to cheerfully and conversationally cut someone down. Quote: Powers/Tactics: Despite her msystical upbringing, The Gypsy Queen is more of a two-fisted heroine than a super-mage. Her increased lifespan has given her a wide bredth of skills and she backs these up with her power of "The Sight," making her a surprisingly effective combatant. In combat, she generally uses her precog Skill Levels and Lightning Reflexes to mix it up but it does bleed a lot of endurance. Campaign Use: Appearance: A lovely woman of eastern european descent, 5'7'' tall and 155lbs. Lina has dark brown eyes and wavy black hair. She dresses in "ecclectic" fashions, playing up the gypsy/mystic aspect unless she wants to blend in with a crowd. When "on the job" she prefers a flowing skirt and blouse with a corset and braces on her wrist. Usually in vibrant colors she prefers cooler colors. Lyrics: Sign of the Gypsy Queen - April Wine Lightning smokes on the hillrise Brought the man with the warning light Shouting loud "you had better fly" While the darkness can help you hide Trouble's comin' without control No one's stayin' that's got a hope Hurricane at the very least In the words of the gypsy queen Sign of the gypsy queen Pack your things and leave Word of a woman who knows Take all your gold and you go Get my saddle and tie it on Western wind who is fast and strong Jump on back, he's good and long We'll resist till we reach the dawn Running seems like the best offense Staying just don't make any sense No one could ever stop it now Show the cards of the gypsy town Sign of the gypsy queen Pack your things and leave Word of a woman who knows Take all your gold and you go Shadows movin' without a sound From the hold of the sleepless town Evil seems to be everywhere Heed the spirit that brought despair Trouble's comin' without control No one's stayin' that's got a hope Hurricane at the very least In the words of the gypsy queen Sign of the gypsy queen Pack your things and leave Word of a woman who knows Take all your gold and you go Sign of the gypsy queen Pack your things and leave Word of a woman who knows Take all your gold and you go Sign of the gypsy queen Pack your things and leave Word of a woman who knows Take all your gold and you go
