And DVDs are the "graphic novels" -- collection of each issue in a convenient ad-free form. No wonder TPBs and DVDs are getting more popular as time goes on. I'm stunned at some of the actors I see on that show now. I had forgotten George Clooney was on there one season years before ER. I knew Johnny Galecki got started there, but I did not expect to see a very young Joseph Gordon-Levitt as DJ's friend George. I knew they changed Becky's casting about halfway through, but I never really paid attention. So last night I'm looking at her thinking "Damn, she looks familiar." Not happy how it came to be, but it's a great excuse for me to start working on my photography for real. It's been something I've been wanting to do for two years now, but my job was comfortable enough. Add in a new manager that has no management skills and all of a sudden, my wife and I note, we can live on one income. So good thing, even if a little scary. Looks like the travel won't cost that much, and the housing will most probably be free (sleeping on gym floors, no doubt). But I'm a bit out of practice, I'm still feeling that torn calf, and I need a dipensation 'cuz I'm still an Ikkyu and the competition is nominally for Kyu grades and up. I think I wanna go.
