That is, I don't want war, but I feel little shame in might being used against those who abuse their own might on the helpless. zornwil Posted December 21, 2003 Report Share Posted December 21, 2003 Getting very near completion (probably tomorrow) on a near-perfect song by a friend, he is an amazing songwriter, better than most who do it commercially, and I believe he could be as good as the best given time and any decent breaks. it's a sort of sad song but powerful, and sort of uplifting in a way. I watched as Kara went to everyone in our friend's family, most of whom she'd never met, and managed to bring a small smile to each of their faces. Just by listening and using her own natural charm and optimism. The funny thing is, I don't think she realized just how much she was helping out. Nothing new on these boards. Then I'll see one person go off on a tangent in response to someone else disagreeing with them. This person sees a conspiracy and attributes things to his opponent that have no bearing on what his opponent posting. I will ask how they came to that conclusion and then point out that it really doesn't help their argument if that's all they've got to respond to the opposition. Of course, the person never responds to my question, but will move to the next question that he's taken as a personal attack. Is it because they don't have an answer and know it? Or is it more that they don't want to debate, but want people to agree with them blindly? Or, barring that, they want someone to insult wildly? I really don't know. I took it in to have a look at last Friday (Thursday was busy). It turns out that I could get the computer back for the weekend and the hard drive collapsed in "pre xmas hype". So I continued to watch one wrestler (The Hurricane) and realized, he had a Green Lantern tatoo on his right shoulder. Its a bit funny to see references to comic books in pop culture.
