Pariah
Well, I suppose the good news is that I know which stupid mistakes to avoid on the next exam, because I made every single one of 'em on this one.

Old Man
Yeah, hoax papers and faux online "journals" have been an ongoing problem for years. To say nothing of the corrupting influence of corporate money in research.
Cancer
I think I get email ads for such journals at least twice a week. Maybe more often than that.

However, a peer-reviewed journal of women and social work accepting a hoax paper which included a rewritten chapter from Mien Kampf as intersectional feminism...is. Pariah
Seriously?! The gradebook program issue I've been fighting with for the entire quarter (six weeks now) is that scores have to be entered to one decimal place instead of two? THAT'S the problem? And why did it take SIX WEEKS for someone to recognize the problem and communicate the answer to me? Why was this not explicitly covered and emphasized in the after-school training meeting I was required to attend? I'm not sure whether I'm feeling more relieved that I finally have an answer, or more frustrated at how big a problem this didn't need to be. Belgium!
