Ninja-Bear
Hello Herophiles, I got to play a scenerio today with my kids. I needed civilians, aka targets for the game. I scrounge around and got enough odd heroclixs and what-boys together however most of them are supers. I got to thinking about just buying some civilian cardboard ones. So I’m asking for opinions on which company do you guys suggest? TIA
drunkonduty
I found some free ones just by googling "Paper Minis." There's whole websites dedicated to paper minis, many with free downloads.
Spence
It is 5:30 am here. When I get off work and get home I'll pm you some links. There are a LOT of paper mini's out there. What genre/time period are you playing?

Ninja-Bear
Also at this point, I’m not concerned if the minis are 25mm or 38mm (?) either.
zslane
I have a bunch of the old SJG Cardboard Heroes packs, which include lots of Normals. I'm sure you could find them on eBay.

Ninja-Bear
Aren’t they also were the ones in Champions 4th ed GM screen? I think I have them and I forgot that they have civilians. Spence

tkdguy
There was also a GM screen for 5e. It came with 2-sided maps (fantasy, modern, sci-fi) and cardstock NPC templates that you could photocopy.
lemming
The Fantasy Trip kickstarter just ended, but people can pre-order stuff from it, including add ons. One add on is the entire library of SJ Cardboard Heroes for $25. https://thefantasytrip.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders/143513

dsatow
I use train model miniatures you can get cheap on Amazon. Something like 100 for $15. And then gorilla glue them on to acrylic clear bases. I also use heroclix which I pop off of their bases and put on clear acrylic disks. O scale seems best at about 1:48 for heroclix but you can use HO scale which is 1:87. dsatow
I just recreated a template I used for cardboard heroes before i went heroclix. Its a word doc file with two tables in it to place pictures. Put in pictures of people and print. Glue bottom tabs together and they create tented cardboard heroes.
