  1. Re: M&M pees in HERO's cheerios... I don't get it.
  2. Re: WF for Weapons on Vehicles v Vehicle Weapons I would allow anyone with WF: Machine Guns to operate a machine gun on a vehicle while the vehicle was stationary. Even normal movement will induce a penalty, however, while I would be much more lenient in regards to penalties with a character who was trained on such.
  3. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? No Promises - Icehouse
  4. Re: I just thought of an extremely scary relationship. My pleasure
  5. Re: A Thread for Random Musings The girlfriend is lookin' for a new house to rent. I'm gettin' tired of having to answer the question "any plans for you two to move in together?", or some variation thereof. Yes, we've been together 4 years. No, we're not planning to live together any time soon. No, we're not planning on getting married any time soon. Yes, we've talked about it, but only in the "we're not ruling it out but we'll bring it up again next year" kinda way. Why is it so hard for two people to have a good relationship and not follow the prepackaged societal plan for cohabitation and marriage? Jeez...
  6. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I have no idea where this came from, but I just wrote this tonight. It'll have to be sung by a woman to get it right, if there's anything to it. If I knew music I'd give you tabulature, but I barely know what I played, much less what the actual notes are. Anyway, it might suck, but right now I'm kinda keyin' in on it, if you know what I mean. [untitled] I miss the way were when we were young together You and I were so naïve, such a simpler time You had one thing on your mind And it’s me And it’s me [chorus] I’m alone no more I feel you standing here I’m alone no more I can’t believe you’re gone And I’m alone no more I hate the way I am now that I am older It makes me feel the things I don’t know what to do with Mama always said I’d be lonely And I don’t want to be alone no more [chorus] [instrumental] Waiting for the train, an empty guitar case beside me Because I pawned it for the fare If you think you’re lonely you should see my guitar case Because I left it there [chorus] [scat outro?]

  8. Re: Marvel's Ten Best, Continued...The Ten Best Energy Projectors No list from me. The definitions are too mercurial. I'll likely go over the Champions-defined archetypes again at some point in the near future and come up with suitable lists, but it gets too difficult to narrow down characters sometimes. Hawkeye--gadgeteer or energy projector? Pheonix--mentalist or energy projector? Iron Man--power armor, brick or energy projector? But Cyclops is my first choice, cuz yeah, he's the archetype. Iceman and Human Torch, too.

  10. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Two quotes attributed to James Dean I've come to love... "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." "The gratification comes in the doing, not in the results."
  11. Re: Canada's Greatest Hero: The Red Panda! Cool stuff. Repped!
  12. Re: Interesting telekinesis situation. I'm assuming that he was physically holding Stormfront and used the actual TK power to grab Holocaust. If so, I don't see a problem with it from a mechanics point of view. If you're asking about Zephyr holding one person, using TK to grab another and then get out of range before you can do anything about it, I'd have to know the exact situation, how the combat was run for that segment(s), and the relative speed of all involved. If you're asking whether it's fair for the GM to get those three characters out of Dodge before you could nab 'em, it sounds like it wasn't the prettiest way to handle it, but I don't see anything wrong with a GM trying to keep his villains alive and free for future mischief as opposed to letting them be captured and/or hurt worse. Again, it might be the best way for the GM to go about it, but from a game/plot perspective it's perfectly reasonable. So...did I come close to answering the question(s)?
  13. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Should've, would've, could've... Sometimes I think too much. Sometimes I don't think enough. The problem is that I never know which is which until after the fact.
  14. Re: The Marvel Magnificent Seven (Avengers) FYI...
  15. Re: Best of the Bronze Age? Not to bring this back on topic, but I'll add Amazing Spider-Man #96-98 to the list. That's the short series deeling with drug use that Marvel published despite the CCA saying "no".
  16. Re: Love Child of the Marvel Universe I know there's a point or a plot or something here somewhere, but I haven't seen it yet.
  17. Re: Concept Cars Here's a page with some pics. And another. For sale, even.
  18. Re: Musings on Random Musings "Hush" was an excellent episode, and I have to admit I thought the musical one was purdy funny.
  19. Re: Marvel's Best "Bricks" 1. Thing – Best darn brick out there, in any book (AFAIC, that is). 2. Submariner – Only rarely used to his full potential (IMO), but one of the tops, and one of the first 3. Hulk – C’mon…he held up a friggin’ mountain once. 4. Sasquatch - Always liked him better than Beast 5. Luke Cage – The best “street” level brick around. 6. Colossus – How can you not love a dorky Russian made of metal? 7. Juggernaut – The best bad-guy brick, IMO. 8. The Wrecking Crew – Yeah, all of ‘em. I just love those guys. 9. Thor, I guess. Wouldn’t be a good list without him, I’m thinking. Note that #10 is a tie between several femmes: 10a. She Hulk, cuz she's hot and green and I think vastly underrealized as a character (until recently, that is) 10b. Warbird, cuz she's hot and blond and I think vastly underrealized as a character (until recently, that is...new series for her comin' out soon) 10c. Rogue, cuz she's hot and Southern and I think vastly...crap, you get the idea.

  21. Re: I just thought of an extremely scary relationship. Imagine the wars over thermostat control... In a kinda-sorta related note, I immediately visualized the Lord of Darkness (Tim Currey) from "Legend" as a good match for the White Witch.
