  1. Re: The Night of the 1001 Character Pics… The Templates were actually posted here, in a 3.5mb zip, by our very own lemming. I just snagged them for my collection. His post tells a bit more about them.
  2. Re: The Night of the 1001 Character Pics… Hey, I'm nothing if not an equal opportunity pic-finder.
  3. …or something like that. For the last seven or eight years I’ve been building a huge collection of character pics that I’ve been downloading from pretty much every corner of the Internet. I started out looking primarily for supers, but soon started grabbing fantasy chars, normals, agents, etc. This collection numbers somewhere around 3500 pics, I think (although even as I type I have still more in the “New Pics†folder). I have long wanted to share these with others looking for char art, so as to save them the time that I’ve spent searching the ‘Net. Finally, I’ve been able to do this (with a little help). Our very own Zornwil has offered space on his website, and took the time to post this huge collection of files for me. Now everyone can grab and use these pics with a lot less effort. I hope you folks can make use of some of these pics, or just enjoy looking at them. The link to the pics list is http://www.realschluss.org/misc-pics...tion/index.htm, or it’s linked from Zornwil’s homepage http://www.realschluss.org/ .

  5. Re: Casual Survey: Age of players and Hero's utility vs. other games I'm 43 and have been rpging for 27 years (with a year or two off here and there). I started with AD&D and then The Fantasy Trip (the original version). Also Gamma World and a homegrown system one of our group created while in search of the perfect game. I discovered Champions in '82 while in junior college. Each of the groups I've been in since then have used HERO exclusively. I don't have the time or funds for a bunch of different systems. Besides, HERO does everything we need just fine.
  6. Re: Super Hero Names My first thought was Barrier, and it looks like a few other posters went that way too. That's what I'd go with. Since your character has the whole FF/FW thing going on, and since FF's and FW's are nothing if not barriers, there ya go.
  7. Re: Anatomy of a diorama Looks awesome k_b; even in the preliminary stages. I can't wait to see the finished product. I know, I know, patience. Things like this take time.

  10. Re: If You Had To Play a Marvel Character… I do plan on using them; just not here.
  11. Re: If You Had To Play a Marvel Character… It's all good. I guess it's just like my undying hatred of Lobo. Everyone else (at least while I was still collecting) loved him. I'd be happy if the universe just forgot he ever existed.

  14. Re: If You Had To Play a Marvel Character… Since when is his accent fake? Anyway, thanks for the update hooligan. I guess I'll have to agree with you that I now hate what Gambit has been turned into. I'll just keep my memories of him when he first met Ororo and joined the X-Men. Anything from the Sinister revelation on: din't never hap'n. And I'll also agree with you in hating Apocalypse.
  15. Re: If You Had To Play a Marvel Character…
  16. Re: If You Had To Play a Marvel Character… ... it would be a toss-up between 3 characters, depending on the game. Avenger game: Iron-Man, no question. I've wanted to be Tony Stark since I picked up my first Avengers comic in the late '70s. I'd want to play the Stark from the "Demon in the Bottle" period. There was so much going on psychologically, during that time. Powered-armor rocks! X-Game: Gambit, my all-time favorite Marvel character. We're talking about the character from the early issues; before they trashed his rep with the whole Mutant massacre garbage (and everything else after that). Solo-type game: Jack of Hearts, another cool character that was kind of funked up later on. I'd definitely play the original character, before the alien mom thing. I just loved the look and powers of this character.

  18. Re: Superhero Images Purple is nice.
  19. Re: What's your team missing? About 3 members. Right now we have only 2 PCs. Our group is a GM and 2 players.
  20. Re: Superhero Images Wow, that worked better than a Bat-Signal. I don't know any of the color schemes; you'll have to wait for 'Hawk to check back in. I just thought I'd try and get things rolling. I just love seeing (and borrowing) the work that you guys do.
  21. Re: Superhero Images Nice work Werehawk. I especially like Firebolt. Now all we have to do is track down schir1964 or RPMiller to do some color work on these.
  22. Re: The Marvel Handbook online Thanks Dominique. These will also be perfect for cardboard minis. Just crop the front and back views, paste into template, print on cardstock. Then just cut and fold. Viola! Oh, and consider yourself repped .
  23. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Xenu HERO: the superclam roleplaying game
  24. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) I got her for ya.
  25. Re: Wedding Bells for Dr. Anomaly Silhouette, who's attending Ravenswood, sends her congratulations and best wishes to the doctors. Maybe she'll try to crash the wedding.
