  1. I figured I'd start a thread for conversion for the manga/anime/movie series The Guyver. Here is Zx-Tole, leader fo the Hyperzoanoid Team Five: http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/PDFs/ZXTOLE.pdf

  6. Re: Kingdom of Champions expanded character sheets. P168 - Doctor Mantis http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/PDFs/DRMANTIS.pdf Done as a 250 point villain like Doctor Brutallus. How come I could just see these guys arguing at a mad scientist convention on the best use of minions or death traps for heroes?
  7. Re: Need a Hero 4th edition helicopter and a van for Doctor Brutallus. I was thinking of having the doctor buy his helicopter then, and a pilot for it, but maybe let the "assistants" buy the fleet of vans, one for each of them.
  8. Re: What's your favorite Hero Designer Export format? I'm still using Heormaker 2.5 and using the 3 column format, exporting to PDF.
  9. Re: Need a Hero 4th edition helicopter and a van for Doctor Brutallus. The Ultimate Vehcile is a good book but it lacks tons of pre-made vehicles. Looking around I might need The HERO System Vehicle Sourcebook, but I don't have that now. I need to look for CHallenges for Champions too. The BBB lacks full writeup and point costs. I see there is a helicopter in the 4th edition Viper book p61 called the Black Cobra for 125 points. It says Brutallus stole stuff from Viper, so this works. Normals Unbound has several 50+50 point pilots that could be used as a template for Brutallus' pilots - like Jeff Hawkins on page 86. The "assistants" are probably a variety of 25+25 point normals. Now the question is do Doctor Brutallus buy all the helicopters and vans, so do his followers buy their own vehicles?
  10. Re: Need a Hero 4th edition helicopter and a van for Doctor Brutallus. Thanks for the consideration. Of course he has more points that Brutallus himself. Probably looking for some pilots in the 50+50 point range. Brutallus is a minor league villian, and probably doesn't have a 430 point pilot.
  11. I working on my character sheet for the villian Doctor Burtallus, and it says in his description that he has a fleet of normal vans and some helicopters. Anyone know where van and helicopters might have been written up? Preferably in 4th editon rules, but any edition will do. Also, he has pilots and assistants as followers (besides his Brutalloids). Any suggestions for characters to base these on? Maybe someone from Normals Unbound or one of the Dark Champions books?
  12. Re: Kingdom of Champions expanded character sheets. p124 - Doctor Goldwing - http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/PDFs/DRGOLDWI.pdf (The write-up of Doctor Goldwing fixes some messed up point values and adds the corrections from the KOC errata.)

  14. Re: Is there a running thread for minor corrections on old books? 410 - p. 124 Kingdom of Champions. Besides the corrections in the Errata for this book, Dr. Goldwing paid too much for his Transport Familiarity. It should cost 4 points, not 7, as his purchase of the Ground Vehicle category covered the tracked and ground effect vehicles he bought seperately.
  15. Re: Is there a running thread for minor corrections on old books? You could raise her rPD and keep the rED low as well if you want to keep with the theme of being vulnerable to energy.
  16. Re: Captain America Build 350 pts Cap drove a transforming hummer... the box for the toy said so! ;-)
  17. Re: Captain America Build 350 pts Yes, really. I mentioned the Captain America Hummer here because I wrote a 350 point Captain America that had the vehicle as part of the writeup.
  18. Re: Captain America Build 350 pts More than Optimus Prime's ability to fly has. And why would Optimsu Prime being able to fly mean you don't have to buy it for Captain America's Transformer vehicle?
  19. Re: Captain America Build 350 pts Sorry, but what does that have to do with Captain America's Transformer?
  20. Re: Photographic Reflexes I don't have 6th editon, but I think in earlier editions you can use skills with GMs permission. I'd allow it if the function of the pool was specificlly to create ONLY skills. So you couldn't be allowed a pool that could do powers AND skills, but you could make one that had just skills, since that's the theme of the character. Of course there are other ways of doing this power... for instance you could mix Images and Invisible Power Effects Transform to make your hero able to copy any outcome he has observed. For instance if he copies a safe-cracker opening s safe, make the illusion he undid the safe too and then transform the safe from closed to open. If he copies playing a piano then make the illusion he's playing it. If he copies a cooking skill, transform the food ingredients into the finished meal he copied.
  21. Re: Is there a running thread for minor corrections on old books? I hadn't planned on re-writing Slick, but I'll take a look. I just figured Victrix from p101 of Champions Universe, book 421. A couple small problems. First I added "DF - Detects as a mutant" as a 10 point disad. Then I lowered the cost of her TK levels to 6 points (they would be considered a tight group). Also, from a game mechanic point of view, her EC suffers from the Force Field being so low of cost. If you raised it to a 18 PD/13 ED (from 18 PD/6 ED), then increased the EC reserve to 25 points (from 21), the resulting total cost is EXACTLY THE SAME, but you'd have more defense.

  23. Re: Converting RIFTS to HERO I recently made some alterations to Constitution as I've researched the rules more. For instance I changed his Combat Skill Levels. The Palladium write up says he is +7 to strike. I had originally given him +7 OCV, but then I realized that the bonus to strike from Palladium included his PP bonus. Since PP becomes Dex, and his dex gives him a OCV of 8, which is 5 higher than the standard OCV of 8. So I gave him 2 levels, which takes his OCV to 7 higher than a standard human. Here are some other members of the Sentinels of Libertry and Justice: Patroit, leader of the group, a mutant with high physical stats, lots of charisma and luck oriented powers - http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/PDFs/PATROIT.pdf Flagwaver, the young kid of the group, with mutant air/weather control powers - http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/PDFs/FLAGWAVE.pdf Minuteman, the cranky old dude of the group, a 1960's experimental super soldier who has enhanced stats, armored skin, many weapons, and the ability to control clocks - http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/PDFs/MINUTEMA.pdf Sadly the conversions, being accurate to the Palladium write-ups, are not very balanced in Hero rules. They are skill heavy, and in the cases on Patroit and Flagwaver, they end up with little to no defenses from attack. Most 250 point characters who are evenly balanced could knock out either of those two pretty quick. They do work well as NPC government superheroes to show up and take credit from the PC team for a victory.
  24. Re: Thor's Hammer, Mjöllnir Captain America and Rogue's daughter lifted the hammer once in an What If comic. She became the super heroine called Crusader. http://home.comcast.net/~mathewignash/cscrusader3.html Another arguement FOR the hammer being a vehicle - In one of the Annual crossover events where the Avengers fought Terminus Thor REMOVED the enchantment that the hammer return to him, then he fought Terminus and the hammer got eaten. He then later reactivated the return fuction (with a prayer to Odin) and the hammer returned to him (dragging Terminus WITH IT THROUGH SPACE!)
