Well, Wookies anyway.  I suppose they would to badgers if they could, if only out of revenge for the times we did to them.

No problem with the FBI investigation, though I doubt much can be made out of it.  The last second means to this seems a little shady but, hey DC, nothing special to see there.

But, one part of this has been p!ssing me off.  How people were "horrified" that Kavanagh dared to be "angry" over being accused of rape.  For any normal human, you damn right you would be.  Under the circumstances, I an disturbed by his restraint.   In the same situation, I might have to carted in Hannibal Lecter-style, with someone on the ready with tranquilizer darts.  And even in the aftermath, , my singular life goal would turn into resolving to outlive everyone involved just so in my old age, I could go and urinate on their gravestone.  (Obviously, my lack of tactfulness would discredit me from the Supreme Court .  And while I might be playing this to absurdity.  I can say one thing definitely is I wouldn't have been even a 1/10th as calm-but I am apparently immune to political tact, for better or worse)

But, to the heart of the matter, if you don't assume an accused rapist isn't guilty until proven guilty, this should be easy to understand.  I find it quite disturbing and a clear sign of how consumed with political hatred EVERYONE has become to think one accused of rape shouldn't be angry.   The heinous nature of rape and their accusations if possible requires triple checking data and avoiding the jump to conclusion*.  The MeToo movement has made it, intentional or not, no big deal to accuse a man, any man of rape.  And perfectly justifiable if only for the fact they were born with the dreaded Y mark on their genetic coding.

In any case, I'm done with this.  This saga hasn't been very conclusive, but quite enlightening.  ANd to point all of this out,  condemns me so be it.

*I know in cases in the past I have rushed to judgement myself,  and may in fact make the same mistake again.   But, it is the wrong thing to do, especially given the situation as it stands currently at this moment.

Well, I have to admit from what little I have heard of the 3rd (?) accuser's,  well, it mostly reminded made me "nostalgic" of the Satanic Panic and its crazy allegations.  Make of it what you will.  Gang rape parties?  I guess not impossible, but definitely highly improbable to my instincts on this.

I am not sure if they were close friends or not at that time. I am also not sure merely being familiar with someone would prevent one from being confused. Decades have past and our brains are marvellous things that are quite capable of weaving together fragments into a narrative.

Think about all the old stories you have heard someone tell time after time. Most likely no two times are exactly the same. The large bass your uncle caught becomes very large. Then he did it without bait. Then it was 18inches long and he struggled for a minute. Then for several minutes. Your Uncle probably never notices and never feels asthough he isn't telling the accurate truth. Memories are not unchanging photographs but stories weaved together through reality, or perception of it, and the constant retellings of it. This is why we had rash of Satanic Panic issues in the 80s as therapists tried to help folks recover 'suppressed' memories of horrific scenes; none of which were true.

Again, I am not saying Prof. Ford is mistaken. I do not know. I wish she would provide more investigatable details into this matter so it wouldn't merely be 'he said, she said'. But given what we know of this case and countless others, we should take care to not hang and innocent person.

Just thinking about how things are done the same way over and over again in movies.  Some ideas I thought of to start off

    1) Maybe make the Freemasons the good guys for a change

    2) Does the evil Greek god always have to be Hades?  I mean you do realize you are using as the bad guy, when you got a certain other god who swallowed his damn children, seems that might work better for a villain.  Hell, your "hero" god is a guy who could perpetuate a #MeToo movement that makes Harvey Weinstein looks chaste.

    3) (maybe less common) If you are going to make one of the 4 elements the bad guy, why always fire?

Note: ok, the ones I thought of might new ways of looking at the traditional good vs evil matchups, but that isn't necessary for you guys.

Nah, TX, would still likely get hate competition from CA.  Though outside of CA no one considers CA part of the planet.

There has been one and only one Star Trek series, and that was back in the 60s.  I refuse to believe there was another one.

Yeah, you can get away with having a lack of team chemistry, but it tends to be the exception, not the rule   (in fact, most of those exceptions seemed to have been in the 1970s,  and whose roster had Reggie Jackson and/or Catfish Hunter)

Billy Martin is a curious case, a great manager, but whose tended to burn out teams in 2-3 years  (Funny, in one book I read about managers, the managerial style comparison of Martin, they went outside of sports altogether and compared it to Hernan Cortes.  )

In any case, I've already mentioned one problem I have with intentional walks.  The TV annoouncers are freaking poor at even mentioning.  If you tuned in late and didn't catch the batting order, you might not even realize one was issued until a couple batters later.
