  1. Clairsentience, Precog, Only To Predict Opponent's Moves, Requires A Tactics Roll.
  2. Invisibility, No Fringe. If they can't see you, it's substantially harder for them to target you; and short of tossing around Area of Effect attacks and risking collateral damage, they can't hit you.
  3. The best way to steal an entire city: Save up a sh*t-ton of Character Points and buy the whole city as a Base. Maybe even use some of those points to buy the entire city government and the police department/sheriff's office as Followers.
  4. Posted the latest version of this monster over in the Downloads section: http://www.herogames.com/forums/files/file/338-magically-animated-bandages/
  5. My system and files are all backed up on external drives, and I don't keep anything of a personal or sensitive nature on my machine long-term. The Russians can suck my demonic [Radio Edit].
  6. Don't worry, you don't really need them. Besides, Megalosoft can't be trusted not to continue using the updates as Trojan Horses, so it wouldn't be a very good idea to re-enable them anyway.
  7. And if the rest of the building is occupied by legitimate businesses, the authorities and the heroes can't just go in guns blazing without it ending in tragedy.
  8. Version 3.0

    52 downloads

An enemy/obstacle for any Pulp Hero or Horror Hero campaigns where the PCs are likely to do a "dungeon crawl" through the lost catacombs of Egypt or the like. Fans of the original 1986 Thundercats cartoon will recognize it as being similar to something that was found in Mumm-Ra's pyramid in one episode. Built as an Automation on 1500 points. 5th Edition write-up. Two-column layout.
  9. Assuming the villain has Life Support against radiation, Chernobyl might be worth considering...
  10. Q: Why are you burying fragments of the Philosopher's Stone in your front yard? A: By the time anyone caught on, he'd absconded with twenty million dollars of the company's money. Rumor has it he and his girlfriend are hiding out in the Cayman Islands.
  11. The fight to the death part would be overkill; not only would a person have to be pitifully weak (and possibly stupid) to get killed by a common house cat, but most humans would have options for subduing the creature without the need to use lethal force. Example: Human picks up an empty laundry basket (we'll assume roughly 1 DEF, 1 BODY maybe 2 DEF for the sturdier baskets). Human waits for cat to close into range and traps the little miscreant under the laundry basket, weighing the improvised cage down with some heavy books for good measure. Human then goes to the kitchen for a sandwich and a beer, comes back after the cat has worn itself out in an impotent attempt to escape the laundry basket. Contest over, human wins.
  12. Crap like this is exactly why I disabled updates. Megalosoft can take their updates and shove them where the sun don't shine.
  13. If anyone here knows anyone who is threatening to move to Canada if [inserted the name of the candidate they hate most here] wins the election, give them a gentle reminder of the following two facts: Canada is not some magical utopia and it most certainly is not your personal "Purge Bunker." Acquiring Canadian citizenship or their equivalent of a green card isn't as easy as you're probably thinking. Be prepared to fill out a mountain of paperwork and study up on Canadian history for the citizenship test; and that much assumes you have highly marketable job skills or are filthy rich.
  14. The cheese in a mouse trap is "free," doesn't make it any less a trap...
  15. I'll admit I've been tempted to break the "No Nested Frameworks" rule in my games, though I do understand why the rule exists.
  16. Really? I have Windows 7 on mine and I've never had any such problem.
  17. This illustrates that, if you're planning to stick with Windows 7 long term, you need to permanently disable updates ASAP. It should be abundantly clear by now that Microsoft can't be trusted and will continue to play dirty pool.
  18. If the character is going to be active during both daytime and nighttime hours (in different IDs), Life Support that allows him to get by on less or no sleep would be a good point investment. The Multiform approach previously suggested could work; though one of the two forms has to pay the cost, thus having fewer points for other things. I have to agree that The VPP approach might work out significantly better on the whole.
  19. At 100d6 of damage (!), I'm fairly sure both characters involved in this would be reduced to the consistency of Chunky Salsa Dip on impact.
  20. Here's a tricky one: Let's say there's a popular space pirate themed computer game titled Galaxy Pillager. In a freak accident involving whatever rubber science explanation you care to use, the pirate captain protagonist of the game, his ship, his crew, and a handful of the game's antagonists (some dangerous alien monsters included among them) all got "zapped" into our world. Pending someone finding a way to send them back to the video game realm they belong in, how would they be regarded under the law?
  21. 508 downloads

A collection of 5th Edition templates for Characters, Bases, Vehicles, A.I.s, and Computers. Created in Microsoft Word.
  22. 5th Edition all the way. While the idea of importing some things from 4th does appeal to me, I try to keep any materials I post in the downloads as close to vanilla 5er as is feasible to increase the chances that someone out there might get some use out of them. Not "upgrading" to 6th means I can pretty much forget about ever writing any officially licensed materials, though I would consider doing some fan-made (not for profit) stuff for 5th as free time allows.
