10. Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! This one uses some Champions Universe folks... just change them to suit your tastes... +++++ Leroy Karl Monroe had worked hard and it was finally starting to payoff for him. With the help of his tutor, he had studied long and hard to stay in college and get noticed by the NFL scouts. He was drafted in the first round and was given one of the largest signing bonuses ever paid to rookie defensive lineman. After signing the contract with the MC Lions, he had taken his family out to dinner. Then it all caved in on him, literally... a battle between Mechanon and the Champions had damaged the building where the family was dining causing it to collapse on them. Leroy lost all of his immediate family, his mother, his father, his little brother and his little sister. He also lost the ability to walk as a piece of rubble landed on him, crushing his lower spine and pelvis. The signing bonus was soon gone eaten up by the medical bills, leaving Leroy both broke and broken. Then came the night that Dr. Silverback came calling... the simian genius had heard Leroy's story and offered his help in getting the broken man back on his feet. The first set of neural implants failed in an attempt to bypass the damaged area of his spinal cord, leaving Leroy still paralyzed. The second set of neural implants were built to pass signals from Leroy's nervous system to a lower body exoskeleton that would allow Leroy to walk again, but for some reason the signals were not strong enough. No matter how much fine tuning was done, Leroy could only get around with the aid of a walker when wearing the lower body exoskeleton. The third set of neural implants were like the second but with built in signal boosters, yet still they failed to allow the former athlete to walk with ease. No matter how much fine tuning and adjustments, or time spent practicing, Leroy stumbled around like a small child learning to walk. Then the doctor decided to go big... the result was something very different than the original lower body exoskeleton. It was large and looked ungainly, but with it on Leroy moved with the grace and power that had once been his ticket to fame. After much discussion with the doctor about his desire to help others, Leroy convinced the doctor to build a full suit of battle armor based on the large exoskeleton design. Standing eight feet tall and looking like a large robotic football player from the future, Leroy christened the suit, Tackle-Loco. After Leroy joined the Ministry of Heavy Weapons, the Tackle-Loco armor was fitted with a vertical launch missile system backpack. The standard tactical plan is for Leroy to salvo the missiles and then close in to hand-to-hand range. Leroy, however tends to get caught up in his re-found ability to run around and sometimes forgets to fire the missiles. The has considered having a remote control system added to the missile launcher system to ensure that the firepower is not left unused with the missiles sitting fallow in the canisters while Leroy is closing into tackling range.
11. Re: First time making a character would like some advice Shrinking and Growth are for characters that can change size in 6E - if the character is always small or always large then you just buy the benefits and take the complications of that size - no need for Persistent on Growth or Shrinking any longer

22. Re: Create a Hero Theme Team! Captain Fantastic was active in San Francisco from 1985 to 2000. Captain Fantastic chose his hero name from the Elton John album, Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. His costume was based on the Captain Fantastic picture from the album cover art. In addition to fighting crime and other threats to the Bay Area, Captain Fantastic was a very vocal advocate for gay and lesbian rights although he never gave a direct answer when questioned about his own sexual orientation. +++++ David St. James was a jock in high school but he was not a dumb jock. He realized that he was a good high school level athlete but was not going to go anywhere on the college level, so he studied hard. David managed to make good enough grades to get into the University of San Francisco and through perseverance ended up earning a law degree. It was as an attorney where David saw the persecution and scorn directed at the gay and lesbian community. He witnessed the work of Harvey Milk in getting passage of a stringent gay rights ordinance for the city of San Francisco. He also was outraged by Milk's assassination and this triggered his desire to help the LG community in any way he could. Little did he know that his desire to help would soon lead to him taking up the identity of Captain Fantastic. Burton Angel had been a neighbor and high school classmate of David St. James. Although, Burton was a brain and had not associated with the jocks in high school, he remembered David when he needed a lawyer. Burton felt that he was being discriminated against at the research company where he worked because he was gay. David took the case and won a large settlement for Burton. Burton took the money from the settlement and opened his own high tech research and development company. His first inventions would become the basis for Captain Fantastic's gear. It took little to convince David to become Captain Fantastic. David viewed it as a way to help both the people of San Francisco and the gay and lesbian community. +++++ Captain Fantastic has recently come out of retirement to lead the Alliance. He plans on spending a few years passing on his knowledge to the others and then assume a background role as a mentor-advisor to the group. .
