  1. Re: Superhuman women less attractive in 6th Edition? Right. Perhaps I fogot something. perhaps it was only INT times 5. Yes, that seems more like what I have in memory: 50 INT equals 250 IQ. Well, sorry for miss-remebering. But I stil think a STR like scale could be better (so 60 is 1000 times 10 of ten). Of course, this asumes IQ is even remotely aplicable to superhuman level's in the same way lifting weight is.
  2. Re: Obviousness of Telekinesis So a usual chase of not really reading/adhering to the rules? If it is that, one can hardly blame the rules that were ignored, for getting ignored. I still don't know how human maxima worked in 5E, but in 6E it is like this: Automatically aplies. Only for Heroic (non-super) games. Only doubles the costs after breaching the limit. Does not affect how aid or power based bonuses work (i.e. and AID or +10 STR isn't halved). From what I heard in 5E it was a Complication (or whatever they were called). Btw.: My Damage was a D&D-GM who was a power gamer. Allowed us to pick scores(not buying, picking), just gave everyone the max HP per Level instead of roling or average. Overall extremly combat-oriented. That's why I prefer to stay with the rules. Sure, sometimes they are a littlebit in the way (heck, even I collide with them) but usually not so much that you can't still do your thing after collecting a little bit of experience points...
  3. Re: Superhuman women less attractive in 6th Edition? Was that the game rule for it? Because if, I can't see how people say there wasn't anything usefull for it. If it was a house rule, I'd say: Fault of the house ruler.

  5. Re: Need suggestions for KH character Certainly Luck to survive this and Unluck to always get into such a mess (you can combine them, see atomic fridge). of course some complication that always let's him get opposed to the status quo. Are you using the "Hunted of The Week" rule? He must be fast (movement) and have a fast reaction. Most likely high INT too. Shadowing Skills. That would explain why he was able to get where he could hurt the 13 orgranisations and how he always got away before their full local might hit him. Some close ally (intelligent small creature) might be good too. See this comic for some ideas, the main character and some of the others in the current arc fit into that category. Ryudo from the game Grandia II might also be a good point to start, albeit the epic scale overshadows him a little bit.
  6. Re: The Birthday Suit Boogaloo? In any way, Distinctive Style. I actually was in a similar situation once (unexpectedly seeing a naked, atractive women) and it took me a while to realize what had hapened. And I am not an american so I don't have that much problems with other peoples nakedness. As the other say, "most americans" have a taboo so they are more suceptible to being suprised/affected. Someone somewhere noticed there was some PRE-Bonus defined as Strunning Outfit and Opales "American Dream" has a +15 PRE for her outfit/body combination. Of course there will be non-gay man who have mastered ther sexuality(high EGO) so they can just rise an eyebrow and say "nice try" (like Mr. Spock would do. So maybe an EGO countered PRE attack?). But overall I would say it gives you less than sexy clothing in the long run. Simply because erotic isn't about being completely naked, but rather pointing at being almost naked, thus starting the thought process of how you would undre...and you are hit in the face again. Of course you man not need a long time to get what you aim for: http://www.exiern.com/?p=75 And honstely I think our problems with nakedness is a common, social based complication. While I do agree that you need clothes in winter, why do we need them in our own 4 walls in the summer? And children don't have that problem automatically, they learn it from their parents. Also a lot of tribal cultures have no prolem with naked breasts, the way we do. I think at some point, some parents wanted their children to wear clothes to protect them from the weather and since you can't reason with a child, they just "invented" shyness towards being naked.
  7. Re: Advantage allowing full effect on adjustment powers? When you really don't want to make complicated builds, just say: Drain certain Defenses cost's the double Points, but get's no reduction. And just don't mix halve drained and the full drained charateristics in one power. It's the same game effect, but with less "math on the fly" when you affect a normally halved charateristic.
  8. Re: Superhuman women less attractive in 6th Edition? And only more in heroic. Human Maxima (in 6E) was never intended to be used with non-powered supers, albeit it seems a good guideline (for when you have enough to be "highly trained"). About the 50-capped: They do have less use in combat, overall. Sure you can make a character that uses his 50 INT trough a VPP with INT-Based Power roll. But STR gives you HTH-Damage (and with the right Blast limitation even Ranged), DEX is important for Initiative and and many (battle-relevant) skills (like Breakfall) plus it's former use as basis for the CV's., and CON makes you harder to stun (relevant for not lossing the advantage of your SPD). Someone somewhere sugested your INT² equals your IQ, wich seems like a good measure. But perhaps the overall scaling equal to STR is more apropirate (a hint: ever 50 STR, your max lift is increased by the factor 1000). It has to mean something to be a "12th level intelect", when earth in a thousand years is only a 9.... I also agree with the thing about imagination of the values. Also these charatersitics don't have to be obvious. She can look pretty normal from affar, but her 60 PRE alows her to get her everything she wants from you. It's less about what you have, than how you use it.
  9. Re: VPP active point costs Nope. It just sounded like the GM was unable to give characters chalenges that fit their powers. Sure, you don't want to put a weakness into every fight, but having none is not very good either.
  10. Re: The Beautiful People The clasical version here is usually "Virus that eliminated civilisation and lay dormant until found by human explorers". This can even work with Superhero-Campaigns. Maybe one of the Vacuum-Resistant, Disease Immune guy's brought it back? There was this one James Bond Film (Moonraker) where the usual mad scientist wanted to de-fertitlize the entire world, wait for a hundred years and then come back with his selected people. No super-sexy, but a good plot to use such a virus other than for dominance. Wich brings up: Aliens that want to eliminate the human race that way. Maybe not even the humans in paticular, but any race comming to close to their terrotory (this of course, requires a scanner/synthesizer to get the "right" Virus for that species).
  11. Re: Multiple Man attack Why do we make it so difficulty? Useable as Running, +1/4 Advantage. 6E1 158 You could even make this a naked advantage for the teleportation and take the limitation "Only for Velcotity based attacks", just to make certain you don't want any other benefit from it.
  12. Re: Multiple Man attack He still passes trough intervening space and build up momentum, so how is this not a Running/Flying? But let's think a little: How about just +HTH with the Side effect that he moves towards the target (or wasn't there a required movent possible with one limitation?). All you want is a dc bonus and that you move towards the target. Move-by is just the normal guys maneuver to do this. Maybe even build that way with a light Side effect(1/3 of ap)?
  13. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... He wears black ninja-style clothes, a sword to kill silently and he sneaks. And he's part of a pirate clan, 3. Generation. He's a Ninja Pirate!!
  14. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Unless it were Ninja-Pirates. (Don't laugh, but I have an actually quite realistic/logical idea for some for another RPG: A space pirate, that stows away on ship and disables them from the inside for his buddies...)
  15. Re: Pulse, teleporting martial artist. C&C welcome. The Blinding Limitation might mean "Blindfolding/Sight Flash". The can't teleport when he can't see. "Must be able to see" or "not when blinded" might be clearer. From the "Social Complication: Alternate Earth History" I gues he teleportet from one alternate earth to another and is about 50 Years old (or the timelines diverge for that amout of time). He has some really imginative powers there. You might consider going with a VPP instead. The Multipower reserve really seem to high. Multipower is only aplicable if you have to choose between powers. When you can use them all at once, it may not be allowable. It's a good thing to have your full defenses while attacking but maybe less while moving (or full defenses and not full move). What's reflex teleportation supposed to do? Overall he seem to be very focused about controlling the enemy (Translocating Punch, Aportation, two trips), rather than hurting him.
  16. Re: Multiple Man attack Ignore the names. You can just stop where you hit him, run past him (and I think there was a thrid option). Anyway, D&D Charge is totally possible with it. And I to would go with the special effect for a movement based attack.
  17. Re: Why there is no Gulo Gulo in bestiary(ies)? Just shrink your group to pixie size, and pidgeon is like the roc from d&d.
  18. Re: The Beautiful People Certainly taking controll of it. Have you ever seen DNA²? Something around the "Super Playboy" (or girl) I guess? Edit: Where is Wikipedia on DNA², and he was called Mega-Playboy. He could become super-seductive, but normally had a "alergy" vs. women. There is a little bit of time travel involved and cerain elements form fighter anime like DBZ.
