  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Thanks Remjin. Repped. Bunneh, I owes you for the link. Will when I can.
  2. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.
  3. Re: Superhero Noir Excellent Find. Repped.
  4. Re: Champions Online on X-Play Nice graphics and smooth action. I am not a big MMO person, but I will give this a try and see how it works for me. And coming out in 6 months or so.....
  5. Re: New to Champions/HERO need Startup Info You need the Hero System Rules 5th Edition Revised. You can get it here at the store in either book form (it will be shipped to you) or in PDF which means you can download it. This is the only book you need. That and about 20 six sided dice and you are ready to go. You might also want a genre book as well. You can get Champions as well. This covers the super genre. I would also suggest a setting book too. There is Millennium City and Vibora Bay which are settings in the super genre.
  6. Slideshow I liked this and figured some of you might also.
  7. Re: Where to find ARGENT Hmm....I wasn't going to buy Monster Island, as I thought it might not be what I am looking for. But after this, I may have to.
  8. Re: Where to find ARGENT ARGENT will be detailed in Profit And Purity, which will be released in 2009 per Steve. I am also waiting on this book as well.
  9. Re: Which Champion are you A child of radiation and science gone awry, you are a mutated monster of pure, unstoppable rage. All you really want is to be left alone, and if anyone gets in your way, they get smacked into next week. Take the quiz! Very strange.
  10. Re: Shades Of Black Hey, I am just as excited as you are. Relax, though. Steve is getting ready to go under the knife. There is one thing I have noticed, and I am sure you have too, and that is if they say it is going to happen, it will. Please make it soon. Please, please, please.
  11. Re: Airship papermodels Excellent find. Reppage.
  12. Re: Combat Tracker RPTools.net has an initiative tool that works well with HERO. It may not do everything, but it does let you know who goes and what they did as far as holding or taken an action and so forth.
  13. Re: Does anyone use the Independent Limitation? I use independent for only specific items that can be used as a plot device regardless of genre. If that is your intent, to give your GM plot devices, then by all means. Otherwise, since they are "universal" you could easily replace them, and remove that independent limitation.
  14. Re: Classic Comic Book Characters Very nicely put on these. Is there a particular reason you are running these at 250 compared to 350?
  15. Re: Dealing with large-scale fights. No real system. Just play it by ear. A few from each side go down, a major NPC goes down on either side after a few minutes, and so forth. If the individual details are not important, then just wing it. Leave the detail for the PCs and possibly the Named Major NPCs.
  16. Hey, My players have been complaining a bit on my soliloquy for bad guys. Honestly, I suck at them. Threats too. How do you handle this? Examples? I don't think it is my voice or delivery, as much as what I say. I can use the quotes and get a good idea from the character backgrounds, but I tend to get a loss when I have to deviate from that by any significant amount.
  17. Re: Villainy Amok You will not regret this. It has helped me on numerous occasions. Well written.
  18. Re: Susano's Eight Steps To Character Building Reppage.
  19. Re: Mind Slayer I agree with Marcus on this one. Menton was not what I expected. This one and the last one have at least got my attention.
  20. Re: For those Model Citizens out there Repped. Go back one page http://www.disneyexperience.com/models/ and you can see more. Nice find BigJackBrass.
  21. Re: United Superheroes of America Forth coming I hope.
  22. Re: Pulp Hero PDF adventures WARNING!! SPOILER. I ran the Spears of Tisangani adventure last night. I felt it went well. The side tracks such as getting attacked by the Arab thugs was pretty good. The PCs did not know what to suspect after that. The river ride also was unexpected. Having the group loose a boat of supplies was a good hook. It had them thinking of being able to return home. Once they got to the scream for help by the Princess and she latched onto a PC was great fun. It caused the appropriate tension. During the 3 hours between the announcement and the celebration dinner was good. Dropping several hints by servants the a few nobles about how the "white people" were going to be the down fall was also a good hook. When the argument broke out and the coup started the PCs were caught a bit flat footed. They were expecting a fight on the field of honor due to the relationship between the Princess and The Warrior. BTW, they finished it in one session and having a Museum making a Tisangani exhibit is a good tie for the Malay Coins (Hint, hint).
  23. Re: Pulp Hero PDF adventures I am going to be running Spears this Saturday and will let you know. I have read most, if not all, of them and they are well laid out. I would advise you to choose the ones for your group. My group tends to not be too much on the excessive thinking side, so mysteries escape them (sorry Dave).
  24. Re: Game Mechanics I would turn the always on, off. I do feel this makes for a great villain power. You get in a fight, he wins, or just before he gets away, WHAM. You now forget who he is and why you are fighting him.
  25. Re: Ankylosaur is up Wow! Very nice. So far it is a toss up, in my opinion on the art contributions. But what do I know.
