Re: Help: Time Villains I have found it usefull to set the rules for how Time travel works in a campaign . Then think of evry way the players can try to twist it and cover those bases. If the GM does not have a firm grasp how he envions it the players will . I have a useful rule of thumb is that anything that significantly changes the timeline cause a Branch off. Then the Gm and the players have to find the correct Timeline to return to or retuen to the future they caused.

Buster Crabbe - Olympic swimmer and star of Tarzan , Flash Gordon and many action movies. Basil Rathbone - movie actor and fencer on an Olympic level . Otto Skorzney- Geramn Olympic athlete and Commando-Paratrooper . Jesse Owens - Fastest Man on Earth and Track and field winner in 36 olympics.And Errol Flynn who was a a smuggler and Quasi - Pirate in his home country of Tasmania befroe he came to Hollywood.

Re: How to Read the Firearms Table Glocks are slabsized no nonsense combat guns. If I were picking pistol for a soft spoken analyst who dabbled in magic I would go for a Browning Hipower. This might be listed as a P-35 Browning. Try Google for a picture of an elegant but serviceable pistol.

Re: Making a Brick in DC I suggest extra Body,extra Con. .It makes the character harder to kill harder to stun or knockout but does not violate your armor ideas.

The Nazi in charge of the Los Angeles area is Col. Arnold Schwarzanegger. Former Olympic weightlifter now the Iron handed ruler of Tinseltown, Feel free to use other Hollywood icons as you see fit. The players were dimensionally lost skilled normals ala Sliders.

Re: Help: Sniper Syndrome I have had this problems gming in games before the worst being a character I dubbed Mind Guy. He had Mind scan and x-ray vision and a mental blast. At the time I did not forsee the problems- until he started setting 2 blocks away from the action and sniping from inside resteraunts etc. Eventually he spawned his own nemisi including a mentalist with the same powers only more points plus an invisible to mind powers and sight semi-brick semi- martail artist. He hated when these caharacters showed up but their frequency of apperance was tied to his actions. When he stayed with the group they rarely bothered him. I did not do this to punish the pc but to stop a game disruption. The plyer really just wanted to take evey body out in one shot and not be intrested in the game just the fight.

Re: Pulp Hero?? I ahve run Pulp games in the past and am currently running one now. Game time started in Dec. 1932 and in 7 months of real play we have advanced to June of 1933. My sources are from the computer , movies, pulp books and History. I have computer searches on pulp heroes and detectives of that era plus searches on historical incidents [ The Rape of Nanking, lighter than air ships , rise of fascism and things like the Golden Dawn society, also a spoonfull or two of Chthulu.]. Players were given 150 points to start of which 30 points could be in a wierd ability or super power. among the pc's I have in the game are a Shadow clone , a Female avaitrix - gadgeteer , a descendant of Sherlock Holmes and his Watson ,A Flash variant and a gunslinging adventurer. The campign is going well and everyone is enjoying it.

A Steam-punk - Wild , Wild West section. a section on tribal heroes. a section on legendary figures might be nice- Pecos Bill , John Henry etc. . As a suggetion there was a large meteor shower in 1833 the Indian clled the Year the Stars Fell [i think the name is right].This could be a tie in event for some super powers or origins.Oh yes and do not forget the Lone Ranger or the Original Ghost Rider or Zorro or the Cisco Kid. Also remeber Sky King for a slightly different time period but still the west. Clones or knock- offs of any of the above might be intresting templates or examples.

One of the best campaigns I ever played in was based in New Orleans. It was a mystical based campign and the Gm had built us a haunted mansion as a base. Instead of an AI we had a friendly ghost [built using the base rules] . In the three years I played in the campaign we never fully explored the mansion.Different rooms had different possibilities and powers instead of labs or healing by science.With a tip of he Hat to Kevin the GM.

If any players of this game took my comments as harsh -I am sorry . I was responding to what was posted . My philosphy on lousy Gming is vote with your feet. -Leave the game if it is consistently bad and the gm will not change it.

My guess for 25 years in the future - refinement of things we have or are working on. Nanite technology , smaller possibly implanted communications devices and electronics. I would also think some bionics . A trend I think that might develop is body alteration by gene therapy and surgery. Politically I think it could go either way - a divided America or a unified America that has added states.

I would tell my players to turn in your characters and make new ones we are playing Hero not Villians .then I would take there former chaacters and force them to fight them .I dislike a hijack of a campaign to turn it into something else . If everybody agrees to a game format no one should change it halfway thru. I once had a clown try to make a Champions game into a Star Wars game .
