  1. Yes it is..... Incidentally, the Davros boxed set is a VHS collection of all the Davros stories in chronological order, starting with the first, the justly famous Genesis Of the Daleks .Expensive, but probably a required purchase for any Doctor Who fan.
  2. Obviously another poor unfortunate who never got the Davros boxed set. Damn-now I'll have to watch "Genesis of the Daleks" again.
  3. Someone has been messing with my avatar...... And doing so without my permission,as well.
  4. If you want to avoid the penalties from the Move-By & Move-Through maneuvers, why not just make a martial art with the appropriate maneuvers?
  5. For those who came in late, the Doctor has a weapon that cannot be taken from his hands, that he cannot lose, and is invisible to sight. I'm talking about his INTELLIGENCE.
  6. Not on me -I haven't had any desire to give my avatar a red christmas hat.... Of course, I don't know how to alter the avatar image in any case.........
  7. Nope-especially if the cause of the problem was a known supervillain agency.
  8. And let's not forget the fact that Santa is usually regarded as a "good guy".If Santa Claus showed up at a superhero team's secret base and told them what happened ,I can just see them getting ready to kick some ARGENT butt!!!
  9. And how many trips can the time machine be used for?
  10. If all this information is from "an alternate future timeline" then it certainly won't be completely accurate for historical purposes.
  11. Funny,I always thought it was a perfectly understandable point of view. After all, when the best director in the world (Peter Jackson, natch) is remaking King Kong something is seriously wrong. (Yes,I know King Kong is one of Jackson's favourite films, but still...)
  12. Make it clear to the players that modern laws require them to hand over any foci involved in the committting of a crime to the police as it's evidence. Also, just because the players have captured someone's focus doesn't mean they can safely use it.(Power Armor is especially good for this.If a PC is maimed or killed because he tried to use a villain's focus, the players will be understandibly reluctant to use captured foci.)
  13. I miss Seeker.... Now THERE was a character worth having a rivalry with.He was such a showoff,it was a sheer pleasure to make him look a fool. And the fact he was Austrailian made it even better. Darn...it looks like I'll have to build that 350 point version of Seeker after all.....
  14. Galooper retired Actually, the Galloping Galooper retired after being badly hurt by the Blond Bombshell and finally realising he was a pathetic joke of a superhero.(At least he never realised that Flare recruited Foxbat to act as his stand-in).
  15. Alien vs. It! The Terror From Beyond Space Most people don't know this, but Alien is widely considered to be a remake of It! The Terror From Beyond Space. I've assumed for years that the LV-426 lifeforms were bred in order to fight the creature(s) in that film, for the following reasons: (1)Acid blood is primairily a close-range weapon. However, against a space vampire such as It!,it is a great defense. Also, consider the strength of the acid-in the first movie it almost ate through the Nostromo's hull!!! Remember, It! could stand up to bazooka fire ,so it would take a VERY strong acid to hurt It. (2) The creatures from the Alien movies didn't seem to require oxygen.Considering It could survive on the surface of Mars for long periods, this would be a necessary ability for them to have. (3)The LV-426 Aliens were clearly intended to reproduce VERY RAPIDLY.As even they would take heavy casualties fighting one It,rapid reproduction would be vital.
  16. More Books Am I the only person here who enjoyed the Vanyel trilogy by Mercedes Lackey? (She started out writing the Tarma and Kethry stories about two female mercenaries for the late lamented MZB's Sword and Sorceress series ( I think I've collected all the volumes of that anthology series.Well worth the effort of picking them up). And how could anyone miss out the classic Harold Shea stories by L.Sprague De Camp and Fletcher Pratt.(The later stories, with Christopher Stasheff replacing Fletcher Pratt, aren't as good). And of course,if we're treating John Carter of Mars as Sword and Sorcery, then what about Stasheff's work? If Rod Gallowglass isn't a Sword and Sorcery Hero (remember The Warlock Unlocked) then who is?
  17. Zero END on Succor Why not just buy 2d6 Succor to REC at Zero END Cost(+1/2) ?
  18. Brainwashing Devices One thing that always bothered me about the b-mod devices was that they were presented as being invincible-that nobody could resist their effects. What would the Squadron have done if they encountered someone who was immune to their brainwashing procedure?
  19. Superman's Odd Behaviour True,Supes IS behaving oddly.Outside of John Byrne's run on the Superman books I can't remember him being so arrogant.
  20. Sorry,I Forgot To Ask Errr....Susano,when are you going to finish updating your website???
  21. Superman (1939) Superman was revealed to be immune to disease during the "Purple Plague" storyline.Of all the people who were exposed to the first victim,he was the only one who survived. His immunity to poison was shown when an evil arms merchant, trying to kill him exposed both himself and Superman to a deadly new gas.The villain died, but Superman was unharmed.
  22. Superman's Swimming I also remember that Superman could swim at superhuman speeds,so perhaps an additional slot in his Multipower for Swimming should be considered. I also remember that when Superman started out,he could alter his facial features by using his superhuman control over his facial muscles.
  23. Superman Personally,I've always thought your version of Superman was rather underpowered.I'd personally double his STR to 70,as I seem to recall he lifted a circus elephant one-handed in one of the Superman Archives. Furthermore, unlike his inspiration,Hugo Danner,Superman has always been resistant to diseases & poisons,so some Life Support is necessary.Hovever, Superman doesn't travel into space for some years yet,so a 1939 version should only have Extended Breathing, not Self-Contained Breathing.
  24. The Same Name Talk about wierd coincidences.....
  25. Southern Cross Actually,my current design for Southern Cross is based on the Superman archetype, with a maximum 75 STR due to a 5d6 Standard Effect Succor vs. STR & one physical Movement Power. As for the "Purple Morganite" question, the mad scientist in question can easily recreate the stuff,so she could quite easily sell it on the black market.Fundamentally,it works like the Smallville version of kryptonite,so she should be able to find a few buyers.
