    GreyHero

I haven't, I am considering converting things from Mystara to the new Fantasy Hero though.
  2. Since the advent of Hypertime thiere is not longer a true continuity or timeline
  3. gamersattic.com is selling it as well.
  4. Time Travel I like what they put in the Rip Hunter Maxi-series (DC) at one point. A person can only travel through time a certain way three times. After that it's no good. So if Joe Normal got ahold of Chronos' belt he'd only be able to use it 3 times before he needed to find a new method or device. And if I recall that includes people piggy-backing, 3 times period. No matter who's sitting behind the controls.
  5. If your talking that time period with any country I'd go with Dr. Mudd.
  6. Um....he identified himself as Thomas Sawyer in Dorian's house shortly after the shooting ending. Made it known that he was part of the American Secret Service.
  7. Do you foresee a Golden Age Champion's sometime in the near future?
  8. And what I said was based on what people have said in interviews, people like Stan Lee who co-created the X-Men in the first place. It was also said in a silver age context. NOT the context that so called marvel writers have given it in the past 15 years. And Scott Summers father was a MILITARY pilot who flew spy missions (yes, some retcon from the 80s/90s). So odds are at some point he may have come around radiation. WE don't know if he did or not, odds are he did. If Doom wants to go by what's written in a rpg that his choice. This thread started with someone asking what kind of things broke down the different "ages" of comics and to me some of the big things were Monsters and Radiation. And if we're not careful he might start ranting that Doom really is a Dr. and graduated college.
  9. X-Men = Mutant Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic-Four = Alterated Human.
  10. I have to disagree. Their parents were exposed to radiation at some point which affected their offspring. It may be a bit of retconing on Marvel's part but it is the way they (the editors/writers at the time) described things. And again, go back and look at interviews. Lee wrote the Hulk as and he first appeared IN a monster book. Rather he's a fantasy monster or one from radiation isn't that big a point, look at all the "horror" films back in the 50/60's with the giant ants.
  11. As I've seen one person post on another board we seem to be in the Vacuum age. Exp. when it comes to Marvel and it's pratices. Does anyone really recognize their characters anymore? In all seriousness I think we're in the Paperback age. Most comics are written with little storylines that can later be bundled into Trade paperbacks and sold to the masses. At least it seems to me that that's how comics are written anymore. No concern for the month to month issues. Yes there are some excpetions to this, but look at the majority of the comics. Marvel does Origin & Ultimate Daredevil & Electra...a week or so AFTER the last issue comes out the TPB hits the stand. DC does "War of Worlds" and maybe a month after it's over Vol 1. of the TPB set comes out. Dark Horse seems to set their books around that schedule (exp the Buffy & Star Wars books (oh wait..they pretty much only do Buffy and Star Wars..nevermind..).
  12. Silver Age bits omissions A few things that have been forgotten in the silver age era, at least on the Marvel side of things Radiation and Monsters. OK ok...maybe add radiation to "science" but you have to remember what has come out of it. Peter Parker was bitten by a RADIOACTIVE spider, the X-Men got the powers normally throught their parents being exposed to RADIATION, the Fantastic Four gained their powers going through the RADIATION belt. Hulk..etc....Radiation was a big t hing in comics and real life back then simply because they didn't know or wasn't sure what it would do to people. Remember duck & cover? Also...Monsters...Marvel was coming out of it's monster book period and still featured several monsters in their books. HECK, the HULK was originally a monster book. The Thing was supposed to be the monster of the Fantastic Four (well..he's a monster, but he's a hero and has feelings..hm...). You also had other stories as well though...Fin Fang Foom, Spragg the Living Hill, etc.. Also what isn't really talked about much anymore is this lil trivia piece. Back when they did the monster books they usualy had some blonde haired & blue-eyed scientist who would get into the strangest adventures because of his experiments. Even though they called him different names it seemed to be the same guy over and over again. What happened to him? He shrunk himself down and had an adventure through an ant-hole, later joining the Avengers (this from interviews with John Byrne, Stan Lee, & others during the 80s, so I admit it's not 100% "fact"). Also something of the Silver Age is the group dynamic. As Alston has written a number of times there is normally a group of closenit people...the scientist, the jock/friend, the jock's girlfriend, etc. The best example is Fantastic Four and Challenger's of the Unknown. DC/Kirby was the best at this...Rip Hunter, Cave Carson, and others.
  13. Or..Like this? Size and everything can be changed, just a quick mockup. As for font program, everyone swears on fontogapher(sp). Also suggest (if you can find it) picking up ComiCraft's guide to Lettering.
  14. Something like this
  15. The font their using for the Champion's Titles is ComiCrafts TheStorySoFar a $49 font. While not willing to send the font to you I would be willing to come up with it in Photoshop or as a jpg so you can paste it onto your cover title. Just need to know what you want it to look like.
  16. Shrike: That's the Grey Ghost, originaly voiced by Adam West. Kind of a shadow/sandman mix. For those who are intreasted DK has come out with Guides to the Batman and Superman Animated show. $9.99 apiece and are like their other Guide counterparts (X-Men, Superman, Batman, etc). Each page or two details a different character (or on some pages 2 ) from the show. Most probably wouldn't be intreasted but I thought I would mention it.
  17. ok, I'm a moron (and no, you can NOT quote me on that later) How do you embed the pictures?
  18. From what I can tell the one I posted combines the 1998 DC character book, plus all the slim (how to draw Batman, Superman, etc) into one volume. My son and I both have been using it (granted, he's doing better then I am, but then again my hand eye coordination is almost shot), so I recomend it to anyone who wants to do quick simple drawings. My only problem with it is they don't really go into detail on how to do faces, expressions, yes, but not clear directions on eyes/mouths.
  19. Book How to Draw Batman and the DC Comic Super Heroes $14.95 at most places, published in 2000 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1560104791/qid=1055265820/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-9027008-0653626?v=glance&s=books
  20. For those who are intreasted there is also a "How to Draw" DC Animated characters book out on the market.I picked it up and it's pretty easy to use. Also makes good for tracing templates if that's what your in the mood for.
  21. The reason I asked here in the first place was the simple reason that Previews has it listed under Hero Games in the current issue. If it had been listed under GOO's banner I would've gone there first and asked.
  22. Previews had a cover for Reality Storm in it this month. Is there a bigger shot of it anywhere or that can be posted?
  23. Let's see....go up, click "search" and type in "ChaosDrgn" when it asks for user posts. Look down lists to find "Help...New Millennium" Link comes up as http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3689 Look down and find link to site.
  24. For which edition? If you look around you'll see I posted some for 4th a few weeks ago. The file is still up (may take it down this weekend though, who knows). Yeah, it's 4th but shouldn't be that hard to work to 5th.
