Re: Ultimate Wendy, Marvin and Wonderdog Well remember, Marvin was in Kingdom Come..hehe... Marvin is a grunge kid trying to make it big as a photographer. From the years he spent partying he's a bit out of it at times and has episodes where he thinks he's a batman type super-hero. Once in a blue moon during this "episodes" he'll have an orginal though and an actual epiphany. Wendy is the typical kid next door done well. Aces in school, queen of the prom and could have been a layer. If it wasn't for Marvin. She promised him she'd always be there for him and that's the ONE thing he's always remembered. She still loves him deep down but it's covered with frustration and embaressesment. Wonder Dog. Just a dog found in the shelter by Marvin. Can be the sweetest thing ever or rip your throat out. Hates the cape and tries to chew it up any chance he gets.

Re: Ultimate X-Men: Xavier is EVIL! To be honest I got that feeling at the end of the very first storyline where him and Cyclops are talking and "Phase one is complete" I agree, he's not evil per se, he is very self serving, has a goal and will handle people who don't agree with it in a very sublte way. It honestly makes you wonder if the kids are there because they want to be or because he's been pushing them to stay.

Re: Converting V&V to Champions I found the V&V conversions they had listed in the book to be a lil less...meaty...when brought to Champions...most if not all came out under the 250pts you had to play with. Generally what I di dwas look to see what converted to what, then played with the concept. few points here in skills, beef up a few powers, add a few things that V&V didn't have a concept for, etc. Wish I hadn't lost my Hero Disk ...Back in 91/92 when I was dating my Ex-Wife I had all the V&V characters converted to HeroMaker on one lil floppy, but lost the d**n thing on a visit to her house for a game.

Re: What do you call "Four Color"? As much grief as the man gets, I think John Byrne's work is a perfect example of 4-color type stuff. There heos are heroes plain and simple. Even villian has a trap the hero actually has to think about. And in 4-Color Batman is the worlds greatest detective, not some psycho ninja.
